Allow Device Trust to be more granular based on what content a user has access to
Any user with access to a specific confidential folder has to go through device trust checks before logging into their account.

Resolve Device Trust issues when also using Centrify
We are unable to use Box Sync because it fails the device trust. As of now Box run "/usr/sbin/dsconfigad -show -xml", and pull out the result under "General Info" --> "Active Directory Domain".

IP Whitelisting - ability to block WebApp except Box for iOS/Android
IP Whitelisting - ability to block WebApp except Box for iOS/Android because Device Trust cannot configure it.
1 voteThank you for your feedback. This is not planned for now due to other priorities.
We will evaluate this again with renewed customer demand.

This is not planned due to the relatively low adoption of Windows 10.

Allow customization of webapp banner color, by providing admins with the option to choose a particular color for a classification level.
We want to be able to edit the color of the in-app classification banner. We classify the security level of content by color as a visual indicator.
4 votesThis is currently not on the roadmap as we have not heard this request from many other customers. We will consider it in the future if there is increased customer demand.

Enable download of watermarked file via public shared link.
We want to be able to distribute watermarked files via public shared link. It's confusing for end users, as well, since the Shared Link settings for allow download is not grayed out when the file is "watermarked".
1 voteWe will review this request once we see additional use cases and customer demand.

Add browse permission level (i.e. read access to properties only, not to the content itself)
Scenario: A user can search a content/get recommendation to content he has no access to. Once the users knows that the content exists, he user can request access to it by asking the owner.
1 voteWe are not likely to implement this in our roadmap. We would like to understand the root problem before pursuing this implementation.

Provide a complementary Event in the Events API that a file has been successfully scanned for viruses
We would like to take an action on a file once it has been successfully scanned for viruses. The files are being uploaded from an external party through a white labeled application.
We understand we would get an event that a malicious file has been found. We would also like the opposite event that a file has been scanned and has not been found to be malicious via the API.

Require 2FA for certain content only (not globally)
Force 2-factor / MFA based on the type of content, folder, user. etc. - natively in Box or support this functionality through IdP

Suppress Notifications - Expand Scope to Suppress In-App Entries in the Updates Feed & Access Stats (for DLP & CASB Integrations)
Services (like DLP and CASB partners such as Netskope and Skyhigh) that use the Content API to scan Box content have the ability to suppress email notifications that would normally be generated for various activity (such as downloads, etc.). This is great as the activity from these services should be transparent and not exposed to the end user.
However, the Suppress Notifications header currently only applies to suppressing email notifications -- these entries for activity from these API-based services still are exposed in-app to end users on the Updates feed and in other locations such as Access Stats.

Audit log of standard Box encryption key access without deploying KeySafe
We want audit logging to show every time our Box KEK is accessed to decrypt their content within the Box infrastructure. This would be above and beyond the audit logging already provided for previews, downloads, uploads, etc. in the Events API.

2 Factor authentication customizable at the user level
Allow admins to exempt individual users from 2 factor authentication similar to what we do for Device Pinning
2 votesUnlikely to implement in the near-term.

More specific link in "XXXX's download activity is unusual" email.
When a "XXXX's download activity is unusual" email is generated, there is a link in the email.
The link directs just to the admin console where you then have to input the search criteria yourself. Ideally, the notification link would be specific to the user and the download activity.

Desktop Web App & 3rd Party Apps: Split this setting and have one titled [Web Browsing]
After testing the Device Trust setting Desktop Web App & 3rd Party Apps for the purpose of Box Notes and Box for Office, I have noticed that when we enable this, it closes the door on Box web browser usage from any non-company machine (since it doesn't meet the Device Trust setting.) Currently we find it very useful and it is required for us to be able to use Box from non-company machines via web browsers.
It would be excellent if Box Support could separate Device Trust in more depth, specifically this setting Desktop Web App & 3rd Party Apps

Ability to watermark audio
We currently use a 3rd party tool called Studio CDN, a watermarking media delivery company, which can apply and detect watermarks on audio files that are shared.
However, we would like to use Box instead so that we can securely consolidate all of our audio content on Box.

Only AV checks and FW checks will not work on Windows Server today. This is because the info we use to evaluate is not available on Servers (it is available on Windows Workstations).
This enhancement is not planned for now, but we will investigate what will be required to support Windows Server in the future.
