Allow edit access on shared links
Currently, we can choose the access permissions for shared links. However, we want a way to grant edit permission after accessing the link. (Not through the way of adding a collaborator and then sending a shared link to invited people)
We would like to request that you consider adding the edit permission which we can set for shared links
in your future release. It is very difficult for us when we want to edit files for multiple people temporarily because we have to create a dedicated area and assign the permissions every time.
It would also be very helpful if…

Email Notifications: Customize Subject Line (Shared Link & Collaboration Invitation Emails)
"Users find the "Item shared with you" and "invited to a folder" subject lines too generic and can be ignored".
7 votesThanks for the suggestion! We recently updated the subject line of our primary sharing-related email notifications to make them easier to read and more action-oriented. We hope you enjoy!

New Web App UI: Display file version beside file name
The old UI displayed the file version beside the name of the file. There are now a few clicks required in order to check the version of a file.

View of the files I’ve recently accessed (e.g., a Recents page)
Add a 'Recents' page/view to the webapp that shows the user a list of the recent items they've interacted with - whether opened, uploaded, etc. This 'Recents' list should be global - meaning if I preview a file in the Box iPhone app, that file should show in my Recents on the webapp as well.
6 votesUsers can now access a ‘Recents’ page on web and a tab within the Box mobile apps.

Email Upload feature that uploads content of email, not just attachments
Currently, with the way the Email Upload feature works, is it uploads attachments into the folder specified. Can we also add a feature where it give us the option to store the text content of the emails as well?
5 votesThis feature is now available in our new integration. Please refer to https://community.box.com/t5/Box-for-Outlook/tkb-p/BoxForOutlook .

Show Current Folder Location (Instead of Top of 'All Files') as Default in the 'Move / Copy' Modal
In the former Web App UI, the Move / Copy pop-up (modal) always started off in the current location within the user's folder tree. In the new UI, this behavior was changed to always start the Move / Copy modal off at the top of the user's All Files list - no longer auto-navigating to the current location where the Move / Copy is originating from. REQUEST: Revert this change as it is now relatively challenging to move an item between subfolders in a given folder tree.

Embed - Custom Branding Should Be Respected
Currently, an EID's custom branding settings (colors, logos, help URLs, etc.) are not respected/funneled through to the Embed UI. Essentially, the Embed UI is a totally separate UI currently and customers would prefer that it's just a smaller (responsive) window into the full webapp, respecting all custom branding, etc.
Customers would like Embed to...
1. Respect custom branding coloring
2. Respect the 'help' link that's set in the custom branding tab of the admin console5 votes -
Auto-Hide Password Field on Login Page ('Smart SSO')
The Box standard (non-custom branded) login page (account.box.com) does not automatically remove the password field if the email entered is in an EID with SSO Required.
This means that users are often presented a password field that they don't even need to fill in, and they often have never even created a Box password, so they end up putting their SSO password into the field, then just have to enter it again when redirected to their SSO / IdP login page.

Simplify "File Request" window
I have users on my team still using ShareFile to specifically "request files" from external people because the process is simpler. Three key suggestions for the Box "File request" feature:
1) Can you streamline the pop-up window to focus on the "link" versus the embed widget link. 2) Expose the option/checkbox of the requestor to receive an email when the content is uploaded.
3) Allow the requestor to adjust the expiration date. Default would be tied to the admin link share policiesThanks!

In 2022 Box Web achieved substantial conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.0, level AA. Box web includes more features than a.box.com, including the ability to create Box Notes. Going forward, Box will strive to provide a universal experience rather than a separate accessibility site.
In 2023 a.box.com will be retired and all users will use Box Web (app.box.com). We recommend transitioning off of a.box.com as soon as possible.
We are continually working to improve the usability and accessibility of Box Web and Box Notes.
Any feedback on the usability or accessibility of Box Web is welcome.

The behavior is available in Amsterdam. When you’re inside a folder, the search filter dropdown has a checkbox that says “only search within [folder name]”
