Auto sync of Email folders and attachments from Outlook in Box.
It would be nice to have two sync options to store data. 1) the current desktop system is fine and works well but ideally 2) you could have a synch to mirror Outlook email folders and attachments . In both cases the user should be allowed to select which folders would be sync'd. PLEASE HELP. !!! Our company is now moving emails over 6 months old into archive and anything over 1 year old is being deleted . Only way to save now is via box but that only helps for recreating folders on desktop and linking to box. Would…

Selecting different folders to synch on different computers
I have both personal and company files in my Box and would like to be able to sync only some of to my work computer and others to my home computer.

open synched folder from web
When I work in windows folder/file browser on my PC, I can easily right-click a folder and select to "view on box.com". I would like to be able to go the other way.
* Couldn't there be a function when right-clicking a folder on box.com, that takes me to the synched folder on the PC I work from?
* Or at least "copy link on the PC I work from", so I could paste it into the windows folder/file browser on my PC?

Enable different folders to sync on different PC's
I want to sync a different subset on folders on a different PC. It appears that is not possible. You can only select one set for syncing... and that's it.

Avoid syncing certain file types.
Hello.
I am a 3D modeler and I use Box assiduously.
My working folder is directly Box's sync directory. The program that I use saves a backup version of the model, time to time and sometimes this files are huge.
I ran into the problem that these backups are synchronized, generating traffic and taking up space.
It would be a great help if it could be included in future versions, to be able to ignore certain files based on their extension.

Auto-syncing folders to desktop
If a folder is shared with a person within an organization, there should be a feature that automatically syncs that folder to your desktop. Every quarter, my company creates a new folder for that quarters materials. And every quarter, we have to log into the browser and sync that new folder to our desktop. Its a simple task, but I spend a significant amount of time walking our employees through how to do it, and explaining why they cant see our new materials when they become available. It also doesn't help that the browser view presents differently in different browsers.…

Make sync actually work correctly and reliably
Box seems to have abandoned any effort to improve sync. It has the same problems that it had 5? 6? 7? years ago. It takes forever to sync. It consumes huge amounts of CPU. It gets hung up all the time. A former associate who was friends with an employee of Box once (about 5 years ago) complained to the friend about the problems with sync. The employee's response: "use sync less." That appears to be Box's strategy: they don't fix the problems with the program; rather, their advice is use the program less. That's pathetic. Fix your software.

Ability to sync dot-files
I'm a developer and my projects are synced to box, and I need, when I access my projects on another computer, to retrieve all my files, including my "dot" files (such as .env, .gitignore, .editorconfig, etc.). Only, now "dot" files are not synced, as explained on this page:
https://support.box.com/hc/en-us/articles/360044195433. This is a problem, so it would be nice to be able to manually force certain files to sync or to have them automatically sync.1 vote -

map synced folders
There is a need to map all current synced folders of all users in my organization. There is no way to gether this information at the moment. Please develop a report that will be able to list all synced folders per user.

I have files and folders on box.com, but the same are not getting synced with my desktop. How do I make the web folders come into my desktop
I have created files on my ipad and the same are created on box.com webpage also, but they are not syncing with my desktop
What I save on my phone or ipad is not coming into my desktop?

Update Box Sync to ignore temporary save files from Terramodel (*.~pr)
Trimble Terramodel is a CAD program similar to AutoCAD or BricsCAD and saves a copy of the main drawing file (PRO files in the case of Terramodel, DWG in the case of AutoCAD) and renames the extension ~PR (AutoCAD equivalent is BAK).
Box needs a simple way of toggling the option to ignore certain file types such as these to prevent syn errors and long scanning sessions during sync.

box sync location
Changing the default location would be a good idea! Yes, I have read the instructions and added the line to the registry. Andno it does not work! Why have you messed this up. It used to be so easy. I t was poosible the change the location on install. This feature was not available with the new installer.

install selective sync on mobile app
In the mobile app. for Box Sync, only sync the files I have marked to sync in Box.com. I have NO need to see all files in our entire organization and it is a waste of space on my phone,
