Using folder hierarchy to reduce number of shared folders
It would be great if Box could group by the parent folder if a user is shared more folders from the same parent folder example if i had the following folders
- Projects -> Project A -> Project B -> Project C
If I shared Project A and Project C with a user, it would be better if they saw the following
- Projects -> Project A -> Project C
However if i just share Project A then they would only see this.
This would save having a huge number of folders in the Root of each users account.

not available offline
As an admin, Id like to mark some folders as never available offline. We have several folders with several terabytes of data and inadvertently users have started downloading the entire folder.
One found out when his hard drive was almost full, the other was caught by security looking at the massive downloads. The data is available to all but shouldn't be copied locally.1 vote -
Incorrect message when upload file size exceeded
I (wojciech.baranski@pl.ibm.com) have created a folder - the folder name is "ZUS_STATS". This folder has my (IBM) corporate Box account file size limit, which is 32GB. This filder is shared with end customer, who hasn't an enterprise account on Box. The customer tries to upload a file, which is larger than this limit. Obvously the end customer gets an error, however this error message is incorrect and misleading - it indicates, that the limit is 250MB instead of 32GB. The error says:

show files uploading/downloading and file progress
when a new file gets added to box drive (either on the users machine or via the cloud) the box drive console should show the files being transferred and their progress percentage...

My Box Drive application has taken All Or Nothing, to literal.
I work for a national firm that produces hundreds of work folders daily, in retrospect I am assigned to 4 weekly. The Sync option through the Box Sync application allowed me and other users access to specific files on their laptops without being overwhelmed by the company's very long list. Assigned folders were Synced and then managed on laptops using the File Explorer. Which made working with these files very efficient.
Currently, there is no option for me to selectively access my assignment folders on my laptop without searching for them specifically in the growing listing of company-wide folders.

Open internet shortcut files in the device browser
In Dropbox, when tapping on an internet shortcut file it would open up the link in the device's default browser. In Box it can't open it at all. Would be nice if it did!

Upgrade Box Drive-G Drive 100 MB Limit Size Limitation
I have a ticket number - #2250687 that has been closed because we need a feature request. When a file is created in Google Docs via Box, most of our users at Apeel keep having issues making changes, saving, sharing or downloading files.
What happens is Google makes edits to the file, the file grows larger than 100 MB, Google then fails to send those changes to Box. Box Drive can no longer "open on box.com" on Mac
Previously on Box Drive you could right click on a file and choose to be taken to its location on box.com.
Since the latest Mac, the functionality has disappeared, which affects the ease of using integrations with box.

Multiple Uploads failed - please solve that
Every day I get a message that multiple uploads failed due to file type.
But I have to find all of these manually.
Please make a button to isolate all those files in a local folder, to stop the messages from coming, and allow the user to sort those out.1 vote -
Box passwords user experience
Two issues I'd like to highlight that is significantly making the Box user experience for my users (and me) extremely frustrating.
1) Box Drive sign in experience
When my users try to sign into Box Drive and input incorrect passwords multiple times and keep trying, they get a captcha response requirement to continue trying. It's simply broken. It requires images to be selected but this process always gets stuck in an endless loop. I can confirm this from dealing with this on multiple systems running Box Drive and 100% of the time it got stuck in a loop. This captcha…1 vote -

Mapping Box Location to Windows Explorer
Please add a way to map the Box location in my favorite and quick access folder in my Windows Explorer. The objective is to save new documents that I am creating directly on box, instead of saving them locally and then upload to box.

Preemptively cache your folder directories.
Some departments have a large volume of folders and files. During first time of loading a folder, the contents appear blank and after 5 seconds content shows up. Sometimes a person needs to go manually refresh the folder list to see the contents. This gives the first impression that Box Drive is slow. Is there a way to preemptively cache the folder directories? We do not mark any contents available offline and would like to keep it that way. Once the folder is listed the first time, all future browsing of the folder is fast.1 vote -
open location
When I copy or move an item, usually I just want to go to the location where the file has now been copied or moved to. Currently, the only option is to show file or close. If I show file, I have to wait for it to load before I can click the cross and then be in the location I want to be in. If the file is large, sometimes I have to wait for ages.
I envisage something in Box like when you right click something on your desktop and it says "Open file location"

thumbnails not working in windows explorer
We found a known issue with Win10 windows explorer where thumbnails don't load quickly or at all. This is a major problem for graphics, web or content companies. Even average people can't find their pictures easily due to this.

Custom Location Box Folder on macOS Big Sur
Hi,
Custom location is working properly on macOS Catalina 10.15. via terminal and configuration profiles.
We're currently testing and this ability is now lost on macOS Big Sur 11
Could you guys kindly look into this and see if it could be implemented soon.

Allowing the ability to ignore ownership on certain files
We are trying to store Capture One Photoshoots on Box Drive so multiple people can access them and all adjustments are saved. There is the session file, RAW image files and various files storing the processing settings, thumbnails, etc.
I can copy a shoot to Box and work on it fine but if someone else tries to work on it, Box won't let the software overwrite the settings file and makes copies of everything with the 2nd persons email address on it. This is related to ownership of the files.
It would be great if we could turn that off…

It would be good have two people collaborate when both use box drive
Right now, the only way to collaborate is using box drive and MS 365 online-- which has a clunky interface. Would be good to have people working in Box Drive be able to jointly edit documents. Sharepoint Sync allows that to happen, but Box Drive does not.

Monthly Traffic metric reset
my account says 37GB of 10 GB used, and my monthly traffic is summing up but is not reset every month
[ REFRESH ] - Button to initialise some kind of "reboot" for the account, to review the status and make hick-ups vanish.
