Monthly Traffic metric reset
my account says 37GB of 10 GB used, and my monthly traffic is summing up but is not reset every month

Searching Sub-Folders
We have a user that asked the eblow question. They are referring to Box Drive folders that have been marked for offline use, as well as those in the cloud:
"I would like to see improvements in the Box Search capability within Windows Explorer. You cannot execute a search across sub folders within your Box Drive folder structure, only within the currently viewed folder. Notification if an edit is made to a file
When a user makes an edit to an excel document using Microsoft Excel Online a notification should go out just like the notifications for Download, Upload, Comments, Previews, and Deletes.

Select folders to sync
Select folders to sync with Box Drive rather than having to sync all folders.

What I believe you’re asking for is a curated view of content you select to show up in Box Drive. That’s something we’re considering as we think about how to solve the content sprawl issue in Box Drive.

Alert notification when moving folders in Box Drive
When the user move from the folder sharing with collaborators (the folder’s owner is others) to the private folder on Box Drive, it occur an error after a while. I think I want to inform the user prompty before doing that if their operation is wrong.

Not have to manually focus box drive search
With Box Drive, it used to be that when I press ctrl-alt-shift-b, I'd get the box popup with the search field focused with the cursor at the end of the last search I did.
Something's changed that now the input field is no longer focused. Now I have to click on it to type.
It used to be that I had to shift-home, backspace and then I could type a new search.
Best case scenario is that the search field should already be focused with the text highlighted so that I can immediately type or press enter repeat the last…2 votes -
About character limit of "description" of file property
Please increase the amount of text you can write in the "description" in the file properties.

Can we have an option to select or prioritize which comes first and so on. So you can setup a priority of uploads to a level of a single file upload.
Example: have several large files uploading now. and a small file that its not uploading until the large files are done.
If you can right click on the file and set to "urgent" or "push now".

can_view_path not reflecting in Box Drive
We are utilizing the canviewpath api so whenever a folder is collaborated on this feature gets enabled. So rather than a user seeing just the folder they were collaborated in on their root level, they get to see the entire folder structure of where that folder exists. When this feature gets enabled it reflects immediately in the Box web app and the Box mobile app, but not in Box Drive. Sometimes it can takes days before the change takes effect. Notification for Incompatible Characters in file and folder names
We've run into issues with end users not being able to access content from Box Drive because the file or folder is created with a character that it is incompatible with Microsoft's file explorer.
Could you add in a pop-up visual in the web view that points out when you're using a character that will not be accessible from Box Drive?

I’m uploading a large directory tree with Box Drive, and I’d like to know the status of the files being transferred. I’ve been reading about this in the support area of their web site.
From the Box website, it appears that the way to do this is by looking at icons next to files which change color.
There are two issues with this:
I am blind and use screen reading software that can’t distinguish icons. The Box people need to know about this accessibility problem.
I’d rather have an overall report. But there’s nothing available in the Box Drive UI.1 vote -
Indexing Box Drive Offline Files
I have access to a number of folders that I don't need frequently (if at all), but I do have a select group of folders that I use daily, and I keep these stored as files available offline. I recently migrated from a computer that used Box Sync to a computer using Box Drive, and I was very disappointed to find that I couldn't search my offline files using the windows file explorer. Instead, I'm forced to use the Box Drive search window, which requires that I search ALL of my folders, which frustrates many of my directed searches.

Increased accessibility of upload status of a file for visually impaired users
Currently, in Box Drive the only way to check the upload status of a file/folder is to check the folder/file icons. There is currently no way for visually impaired users to check the current status of an upload, or check the status of content being Marked for Offline, since this functionality also relies on the folder/file icons for this information.
Box should consider a solution to this that would better serve visually impaired and blind users

Allow a user to quickly review all files/folders they have marked for offline use to make sure it's still needed.
When a user is remote or in the current covid-19 'work from home' doctrine, the ability to have better control over what's being downloaded is more important than ever.

Allow Box Drive to show All Files or Favorite Files. This will enhance searchability for actively used files first, or All Files for a broader search.

Sync multiple accounts to Box Drive
Allow multiple accounts to sync with Box Drive.
Many of us have multiple corporate/personal accounts that require local drive sync'd access.49 votesWe’re not planning a ‘fast switch’ option to allow a user to easily switch between 2 different Box accounts on Box Drive while maintaining all cached data. The only option we have now is that users can ‘logout’ of their current account and sign into another account, but the caveat is that this will delete all their local cached data/MFO settings from Box Drive

Mac quick look
Box Drive needs the ability to show thumbnails in Finder on Mac and I need to be able to quick look the files even that have not been previously opened. If this isn't coming, I will be switching back to box sync.

Automatic locking of files specific extensions or program
Enable automatic locking of files with a specific extension or program. There are multiple users who use CAD files for example and every time another user opens the file, Box creates an additional file with the same name and a different version. In CAD, users open multiple files and locking each individual file becomes too much of work for the users.

New update with the search bar on the top is inconvenient.
Definitely prefer the search bar at the bottom closer to the box drive link. It's just easier to use there for fast searching. Less distance the mouse has to travel, and eyes are already focused there.
