Show a warning message when users attempt to upload folders in a File Request
Frequently we have users attempt to upload folders to use using the file request drag & drop zone feature.
Box does not support the uploading of folders, however it allows users to drag folders into the drag/drop zone.
This gives the appearance that folders are supported, even though they are not. Then when users hit upload they must wait a long time before encountering an error that their upload failed, and it does not tell them why.
Solution: when a user drags a folder into the file request drop zone, immediately show a message that says "Warning: Uploading folders is…

Please optimize the box file request embed for mobile phone browsers. Currently it cuts off the iframe on a mobile device.

Folder copy rights for non-editor role
When a user wants to copy subfolders from folder A to B, he needs Editor role for folder A. This doesn‘t make sense e.g. when folder A shouldn‘t be changed by the user. Please enable copy function to lower roles Previewer/Uploader and Viewer.

Too many clicks to share files + see download activity!
I'm finding it inconvenient that, to share a link once it's uploaded in the web interface, I have to click "Create & Copy Shared Link", then click "Link settings", then click "Copy", then click "Save", then click the X to close the window. That's five clicks just to grab the direct link. It may not seem like much, but it adds up - and I could have sworn it was a faster, more efficient process in earlier versions of Box years ago.

Add Support for .icon
It's been 17 years since Box came online. Isn't it about time stop nagging about Mac's .icon invisible files when we upload a custom folder?
Or at least NOT stop the uploading process just to nag me about that?
It's metadata.
Along with .TS_FOLDER they're part of the system. The end user has no control over that.
Please either offer support for .icon or ignore it.

Difference upload
I want a function or API that can upload only the difference in order to synchronize the local folder and the Box folder.

File upload restriction to ensure file name matches the folder name
We would like to store files in the correct folder for each customer.
What I want to say is that we have to accurately store files entrusted to us by our clients in the proper folders. However, this is done manually by a person, so it is possible to make a mistake but we are not allowed to make mistakes.Therefore, when storing files in a folder, we would like to establish a mechanism to block attempts to store files that do not match by having the file name and folder name match.

Upload DICOM images via File request
I was wondering if it would be possible to send someone a file request link and have them upload with the Ambra DICOM image tool directly instead of having them first upload the files then having to convert them manually after.

Integration with Shutterfly: Ability to send photos of build progression to Shutterfly
I work for a swimming pool company. We are taking pictures as the pool is being built. Once the pool is completed, we would like to send 20 to 40 pictures, as a group, to Shutterfly to have them create a picture book for our customers.

Increase upload limit for files in a folder
For people like myself who have a large number of files that need to be categorized in appropriate folders it is imparative that I make uploading easy for my team members.
Box only allows 500 files per folder, which I understand is to prevent many files being lost at the same time, which I am thankful for.
BUT....
It would be great that during the upload process that box.com automatically created another folder to accommodate any files over the 500 mark.Don't you think?

Dynamic File Requests
The ability to utilize File Request to send dynamic file requests. We often request multiple files from our clients. These requests can be 25+ items. It would be beneficial to send a list of required information where the client (external user) could could upload the requested file and the file would retain the name of the item on the original list.
The ability for external users (those with the file request) to see what items on the request list have been fulfilled and which items are still outstanding would be ideal.

Max_Upload_Size Field Needs a Box CLI Switch for User Record Updating
Each user now has the maxuploadsize field in their user record, which designates the largest single file size that a user can upload. This setting can be viewed in the user's profile in the WebUI and is set as an Enterprise level setting.
Just as the user's spaceamount (their quota) can be set via the Box CLI, using the --disk-space switch when updating a user's record, there is a need to be able to access a switch to set maxupload_size when updating individual user records via the Box CLI.
