Box Canvas files should be able to be used in mobile apps.
We would like to use Box Canvas on our smart devices and would like Box Canvas to be available on Box for EMM.

PDF & PNG Export for Canvas
When finalizing a session using visual collaboration, it's often required to export the end product to be able to share with non-Box users, and possibly to upload as attachment to other applications. A PDF (possibly PNG) export feature would be great additions.

Request for additional functions to BoxCanvas
We have received requests from users to add the following functions to BoxCanvas as well as BoxNote.
A function to display a preview of the URL.

Canvas feature improvements
After trying Canvas it looks like in order to get more use out of this compared to other open white board on the market it really does need allow more flexibility and improvements such as:
- Ability to allow GIF's for presentations.
- Allow links/ bookmark to files within box within a text box.
- Allow preview box of a video or crop a video within box to show a snippet of the video for presentation.
- Allow a preview link/ bookmark to Audio file to play.
- Currently drawn notes or shapes only allow corners to expand, it would help to add in side…

It is useful if it be set icons of each company's own without having to go through the trouble of pasting images.

Add Emojis to a Canvas
I'd like an easy way to add emoji icons to a Canvas, both to help people express their thoughts and opinion on a topic, but also to help me create a more visually captivating Canvas e.g. flags, process flow icons etc

No "print" option like in Box Notes
There's no way to export or print the Canvas. This ability exists in Miro, so if Canvas were to offer this, we could likely cut out our Miro licenses. This ability exists today in Box Notes, so it would make sense for it to be available in Canvas as well.

A specification that can change the settings for multiple objects at once
I would hope the specification that can change the size, color, text, etc. of multiple objects at once.

Visual indicator when Box Canvas user is just a viewer, not editor
When using Canvas as a viewer, the user may try to vote on the sticky notes, or try to locate the toolbar, and think that something is broken, when in reality they are looking for features available to editors only.
We should consider adding some visual indicator of the "view only" status e.g. a banner or a badge at the top, an icon over which a user can hover over to get more info, or an icon by the cursor arrow to indicate editing is disabled.

Lock content areas
Add the ability for the board owner to lock some content so that people cannot move it by accident. It helps when collaborating on a board with multiple users.

Adding custom shapes to Canvas
I would like to be able to add shapes to Canvas, for example the AWS shape library to mirror the behaviour of another white boarding tool we're currently using.
This would allow us to collaborate on complex architecture diagrams using very specific shapes/icons.
Some ways this could be introduced:
-shapes available to all Canvas users
- or the ability to add templates pre-populated with custom shapes

Please support object "Grouping"
When creating my own shapes/symbols based on primitive shapes I would like to be able to group them so it is easier to move, resize, copy and paste. etc

3rd Party Integrations and Pull Data from Other Sources
We would love to see Box Canvas have robust integration capabilities (e.g. MS Suite, Zoom, Miro, Mural, etc.) It would be great if we had the ability to pull data in from other sources (for example, MS Excel) to Box Canvas.

Functional improvement of Box Canvas
I'd like to see more color variations (pastel color selection should be available).

Need to be able to pick my own RBG colors
The color options are very limited. If I were to use this for my company's diagramming tool of choice, we would need to be able to load in our own color palette.

Consumes a lot of PC resources.
I am using BoxCanvas in low-resolution mode.
It is Windows with a core i5 CPU and 8GB memory.
I use Chrome as my browser, but it consumes a lot of CPU and memory. I would like to be able to use it comfortably without a high spec machine.9 votes -
Canvas - Grid markings
When working in Canvas the grid markings are so faint, they are hard to see. Should be able to adjust for personal preference.

Add custom images by browsing to images already stored on Box.
Allow users to add custom images by browsing to images already stored on Box. Canvas currently only allows users to import custom images from a computer. This increases the complexity of using Canvas, decreases the value of storing media files in Box, and, makes Canvas seem more like 3rd party tool than a Box feature/function.
