1. Sharing Policy - Allow Pasting of Multiple Domains

   The UX for admins to enter in domains on the Policies -> Sharing policy is pretty bad.

   Box does not currently allow admins to paste in a list of multiple (even 2) domains at the same time, whether they're separate by spaces, semicolons, etc.

   If we have a list of 40 domains to enter, the admin types them in one by one.

   Request: allow for copy/pasting of multiple domains at once, just like we allow for in the 'invite collaborators' pop-up in the webapp.

2. Respect the EID's Shared Link Default when Using 'Upload & Attach' in Outlook to Save to 'All Files'

   When using Box for Office inside of Outlook, specifically using the 'Upload and Attach' button when composing a new email, users are able to choose a Shared Link access level (such as 'people with the link') even if that access level is disabled in their EID. Once the user clicks upload, they receive an error because the shared link was not able to be generated due to that restriction. This behavior specifically occurs when the user is choosing to save to their 'All Files' page when using the Upload & Attach feature.

   If the user chooses a specific folder (a location other than their All Files page) Box for Office DOES do validation and is 'smart enough' to remove the access levels that are disabled in the EID of the folder owner.

   REQUEST: Add this same 'validation' when users are saving to their All Files page.

   This is not a setting we are likely to build. We hope the relatively new Files app enables users to more easily find this setting in their end user experience to change it themselves.

5. Allow Auto-Provisioning from Box for Office App

   Currently, users who get Box for Office pushed to their computer (so they see the Box buttons in Outlook/Word/Excel/PowerPoint) but haven't gone to the Web App to auto-provision their account end up not being able to log into Box for Office as the Box for Office login flow does NOT support auto-provisioning.

   Request: Allow a user to auto-provision their account from any endpoint, including Box for Office.

7. Mobile - Enable Seamless App-to-App Login Flow for 'Add a Place -> Box' within Office Mobile Apps

   Currently, when users have the Box/Box for EMM app and are logged in, when they go to the Office apps (Word, Excel, or PowerPoint) and click Add a Place -> Box, they have to ALSO manually log in there.

   This could be improved through an 'app-to-app'-style login handoff.

   Ideal UX:
   1. User is logged into Box / Box for EMM app
   2. User either taps 'Open in Excel/PowerPoint/Word' from the Box app OR taps Add a Place -> Box within Office app
   3. The Box and Office apps 'talk' to each other and perform a login handoff (like Capture does already with the Box app) so that a user doesn't have to manually log into Office.

   This UX currently is even worse if the user has never logged into Box within Office but is starting by tapping 'Open in Word/Excel/PowerPoint' from within Box - they get taken into the Office app and instantly are shown the log into Box' screen, which is a bad UX for the end user.

9. Customize 'Download Box Edit' URL for Companies that Restrict Users from Installing Software

   We restrict user computers and do not allow end users to download software to their machines (even if that software installation does not require admin rights). As such, the 'download Box Edit' prompt in the Webapp when a user tries to use Box Edit for the first time (when Box Edit isn't previously installed) is very confusing as users will click 'download' but then the installation will fail.

   REQUEST: 'Customize' the 'Download Box Edit' button, including choosing a custom URL that the button points to (for example, 'we have an internal software download catalog - I want the 'download Box Edit' button to point to the Box Edit listing in that catalog')

10. Support Kerberos Authentication for Macs (Box for Desktop)

    We require authentication for all traffic on our corporate networks/proxies.

    We leverage Kerberos and request full support of the Kerberos protocol for all calls made by Box for Desktop.

    Context: Currently, Box Sync supports Kerberos for the login flow (due to the Sync login page being an embedded WebKit browser which DOES support Kerberos), but Box Sync doesn't actually support Kerberos for its own network requests (that happen after the login flow).

11. Enhance UX for Viewing Box Note when Not Signed In

    Currently, when a user clicks an open shared link (a 'people with the link' link) for a Box Note, it opens in their browser as read-only (as it should). However, the confusing part for end users is if they in fact do have 'edit' access to the Box Note, it appears to them that they don't, but that's because there isn't an active browser session.

    REQUEST: Add a 'log in' or 'Need to edit? Sign in here' - type button in the header to make the UX better.

    Scenario 1: Example with Active Login Session for Box:
    This scenario is great!
    1. John is an Editor in Folder 1
    2. File 'BN1' has an open shared link and is located in Folder 1
    3. John clicks the shared link for BN1 in his email, which opens up the full Box Note UI in his browser where he can edit the Box Note

    Scenario 2: Example when There Is NO Active Login Session for Box:
    THIS IS THE SCENARIO THAT NEEDS A BETTER UX
    1. John is an Editor in Folder 1
    2. File 'BN1' has an open shared link and is located in Folder 1
    3. John clicks the shared link for BN1 in his email, which opens up the read-only Box Note UI
    4. John tries to edit the file but sees that it's listed as read-only
    5. John gets confused now because it looks like he doesn't have access to edit the file, but in fact he does, he just needs to open a new browser tab, manually log into Box, then refresh the Box Note tab and voila he can edit.

    Thanks for highlighting. We could consider a login button on the Read-only page, a big catch would be that we wouldn’t know ahead of time if the person has edit access until they log in. So for people without access, logging in doesn’t help them.

    I don’t think we’ll do this. Unfortunately, users will just have to know they need to sign in.

    This feature is not planned for 2019.

15. Allow Group Admins make a GET call for enterprise users

    Group Admins are able to use the webapp UI to add managed users to a group. The UI allows them to start typing a username or email address and will return any results that match. If a Group Admin wants to add a member to a group via the API, they need to know a user's user ID. However, GET calls to https://api.box.com/2.0/users?filter_term=email@domain.com by a Group Admin fail with a 403 error. The same call made by a Co-Admin succeeds.

19. Adding "auto_sync_email_aliases" as name of service when an SSO provider passes a new primary or secondary email.

    Currently admin reports show the events as taken by the user. This is very misleading to an admin reading the logs, especially when the enterprise disallows users to update their primary email.
