Is there a way to see an overview of all the tasks needing attention in one location? Either per user or in general from a manager level watching tasks assigned to specific team members.5 votes
The new Tasks Center and Tasks Inbox are Generally Available as of June 2019. You can see a list of incomplete tasks assigned to you from the Tasks Center, or click through to the Tasks Inbox for additional filtering capabilities.
The box developer docs hijack CMD+F and that's exactly not what I expect it to do
CMD+F is a shortcut for most (all?) browsers to bring up a native Find dialog, but your reference docs hijack it in favor of some type of auto-complete search on the page which is actually never what I want, or expect to happen.1 vote
When you auto-start based on someone uploading or saving to a directory, that workflow should take into account the person who did that - the uploader role. For instance, in a workflow that has a gather feedback and incorporate step, that should be automatically assigned to the uploader not the workflow owner. In general the workflow owner is not a very useful role - it's just the person who happened to write the template - the workflow owner may have no stake in the workflow instances whatsoever. The uploader is a natural role that is missing.8 votes
We released the ability to assign any task to the “workflow starter”, the person who performed the file action.
Adding a Due Date to a task gives a visual within the notification email & the activity slider. Could we add logic to this date where it will send out a reminder as past due and/or change the assignee’s name to red?5 votes
This suggestion has been delivered and is generally available (GA). Due date changes to red when a task is overdue, and assignees will receive email reminders that the task is outstanding.
Box Drive seems to be notarized, however the Box Tools / Box Edit installer is currently not, so my system warns me that this is "an application downloaded from the internet".3 votes

Currently you have to search for open assigned Task by checking your Notification folder or through the notification email as the assignee or by remembering the assigned file as the delegator. Could we have a “Task” folder that links us to all associated open Task as the delegator or assignee?4 votes
This suggestion has been delivered and is generally available (GA). You can find all open tasks assigned to you in the new Task Center. You can get to a list of all tasks you’ve ever been assigned (regardless of status), or all tasks you have assigned to someone else by clicking “View All Tasks” from the Task Center.
Currently, with the way the Email Upload feature works, is it uploads attachments into the folder specified. Can we also add a feature where it give us the option to store the text content of the emails as well?5 votes
This feature is now available in our new integration. Please refer to https://community.box.com/t5/Box-for-Outlook/tkb-p/BoxForOutlook .
When users go to a shared link, the notice is "We're sorry, this file type is not currently supported". The phrase "not currently supported" is misleading and although there is download button below it, it causes a unnecessary ripple in the users minds as this information is processed. I suggest changing it to "We're sorry, you cannot view this type of file here, but you may download it." Also, it would be nice to have the file name in this message rather than at the top left-hand corner.4 votes
We have revised the text to reflect some of the feedback here
Hello. it would be great if BOX would integrate with Outlook where a user can browse box folders in the side panel and allow users to drag and drop emails into box folders. also allow users to navigate those folder and read saved emails.3 votes

We'd like a way to disable or change the Box Drive shortcut on keyboards for Mac’s (cmd+ alt + ctrl + space )4 votes

Customers using security products Hibun DLP (https://www.hitachi-solutions.com/hibun/sp/) may see unexpected behavior with Box Drive. And Hibun doesn't have an exclusion mechanism. Therefore Box Drive should be compatible with Hibun DLP3 votes
We'd like the ability to pre-populate some metadata template values. This way, users aren’t constantly re-typing (or constantly choosing from a drop-down menu) the same responses to attributes when applying metadata to a large number of files.4 votes
Customers can consider using Cascading Folder Level Metadata to pre-populate Metadata values on files & folders.
The task manager should be able to see in the comments the date and time when a task was completed or declined.4 votes

Constant monitoring the "enterprise events adminlogs" for FILEMARKEDMALICIOUS events is not feasible for our application. Request is to add filemarkedmalicious error, similar to filesizelimitexceeded error, so that the user the can be instantly notified of potential problem at file upload time for best user experience.
Instant notification is available today in our application, without this ability our users would see a degradation in their app experience.1 vote
Box Shield now provides a UI indication of a malicious file and applies additional security controls. More information is available at https://community.box.com/t5/Box-Product-Updates/Announcing-new-malware-detection-and-controls-in-Box-Shield/idi-p/82966
We have a separate instance for managed external users. Because they have to create a dummy email for these externals, the email is not one that is able to receive notifications. They would like the ability to tack on working emails (without the unique email constraint) so that these users can still receive email notifications.9 votes
This feature, called the Alternate Notification Email, was delivered as an opt-in experience in the Admin Console on Sept 25, 2019. We also support developer APIs for admins who need to configure emails programatically. I want to contact the upload URL with one button, like a file request of Dropbox, and manage contacts.

File Request feature should solve this. Thanks!
I believe that the API allows for updating the "isexternalcollab_restricted" parameter. However, the API documentation and example does not illustrate this. Would you kindly update the documentation on this?
If I'm wrong and adjusting this paramter via the API actually isn't possible, would it be possible to request this be available?1 vote
This capability is available via API and our documentation now reflects that.See https://developer.box.com/reference/put-users-id/
