Open Shared Link Controls: 'Auto-Expiration' to Only Impact Open Links ('People with the link' links)
Currently, the Auto-Expiration setting for Shared Links, if enabled, applies to ALL shared links regardless of whether they're set to people with the link, people in your company, or people in the folder.
28 votesYou can control Auto-expiration separately for open shared links.

Group Admin - Customizable Permissions
Currently the Group Admin role is an all or nothing option, which, for some, provides far too many permissions (instant log in, etc.).
Just like Box has customizable co-admin roles, Group Admin permissions should be split out in the same way.
21 votesThis was delivered. Here’s a community article that describes how you can customize group admin permissions.

"Users find the "Item shared with you" and "invited to a folder" subject lines too generic and can be ignored".
7 votesThanks for the suggestion! We recently updated the subject line of our primary sharing-related email notifications to make them easier to read and more action-oriented. We hope you enjoy!

Unmanageable API Key Whitelists
Enterprises with a lot of active software development groups have unmanageable API Key whitelists. This manifests in a lot of ways.
There is no way to limit API Keys to development (limit liability). Typical dev-qa-prod cycle requires 3 API keys. No way to associate API Keys to specific projects. There is no way to tell if old API Keys are still in use.
13 votesDelivered - we have removed the allowlist for user auth apps and moved those apps to the new user auth tab. Details here: https://medium.com/box-developer-blog/custom-apps-manager-updates-c79ccf8ebe97
Sandbox enhancements are being tracked separately.

Add Missing Color Profiles in Box Preview
Image capture devices (cameras, document scanners, etc.) and image display devices (computer monitors, cell phone screens, printers, and so forth) all have different natural color and tone characteristics. One camera may be more sensitive to reds, while another camera will react more to blues. Some LCD displays may naturally be brighter or darker than others. Depending on which two device, we are comparing, these differences may be subtle, or very large and obvious.
Color profiles provide a means by which an output or display device can make accommodations for these differences, meaning that your image can appear more or less…
20 votesThanks for giving us feedback on this topic. We have released some changes which will make for a better and richer preview of image files. Please let us know if you have more feedback on this topic.

'Not available' error message when accessing a link needs to be more specific.
Please fix the ambiguous 'Not available' and 'Unable to Download File on Box EMM' error messages when users attempt to click on links sent to them that they don't have access to.
Instead of users being sent shared links, they are being sent URL's for files/folders that only the sender has access to (as designed). They are asking for the error message to be more specific, and to say something like the following:
"The requested page does not exist, or you do not have permission to view it, or this is not a Box Shared Link. Please check the URL…2 votes -

Collaborations Report: Add User Filter (same as Usage Logs)
Add ability to filter (like on Usage Logs) before running the report to avoid having to pull the report for all users (which takes quite a while as we know), then filter down in Excel.
Two Key Filter-able Options:
--Filter by Managed User
--Filter by Folder by choosing user -> choose folder OR by searching for folder nameThe Collaborations report is basically unusable as a large company due to the size of the report that's generated -- it's not scalable for us to have to pull the report for all users and filter down in Excel.

External Collaborator Reporting
Have the ability to export the list of external collaborators with the items they are collaborating on (which the external users tab already shows).
9 votesThis information already exists in the Collaboration report. This report lists collaborations (managed and external users) on folders owned by that enterprise. Collaboration type is also called out so you can tell if the user is managed, external or if they have access via a group.

Per-Device 'Offline' Syncing ('mark a folder for offline use' on computer 1 but not computer 2 when logged into the same Box account)
Currently, when a user chooses 'sync this folder' from the webapp, that folder is then synced for offline access to ALL computers where the user is logged into Box Sync.
This request is to provide per-device syncing options, meaning:
"I want to sync Folder A to computer 1 but not computer 2 (but I'm logged into the same Box account in Box for Desktop on both computers)."Key driver for this: often times users with multiple computers want certain files synced but not others (due to space constraints, etc).
8 votesWe are happy to report that per-device offline syncing is now available as a key feature in the ‘Mark for Offline’ feature in Box Drive. See this article for more information: https://community.box.com/t5/Getting-Started-with-Box-Drive/Making-Content-Available-Offline/ta-p/58822
We don’t plan to bring per-device syncing into the Box Sync app as we’re investing heavily in Box Drive as the future for accessing Box content locally on your desktop.
