Add File/Folder Descriptions to the Mobile User Interface
As of Sept 2016, descriptions added to Files or Folders (via the webapp, for example) are not exposed in the Box mobile apps.
This request is to show Descriptions in the mobile (Android) app just like we show them in the webapp for cross-platform consistency.
0 votesViewing a file or folder description is possible on both iOS and Android. We are researching further improvements in discoverability.

Android: Support Certificate Checks in the Login Flow
We would like to enforce certificate checks during the login flow, especially since we have 'managed devices only' policies in place for accessing Box on mobile and web.
We enable certificate checks at the IdP level so that during the SSO flow a certificate check is performed.
Currently, the Box for EMM (Android) app does NOT support device certificate checks during the login flow.
REQUEST: Implement Chrome Custom Tabs (or other technical components) to allow the Box for EMM (Android) app to perform a device certificate check during the login flow.

Specify proxy information in BoxDeveloperEditionAPIConnection
In the Box Java SDK, the BoxDeveloperEditionAPIConnection methods do not support specifying proxy information like the BoxAPIConnection methods do.
This makes them impossible to use in a corporate environment where proxy information must be set.
It would be nice if the SDK could be updated to support that so we do not have to fork the SDK and add in the logic ourselves.

Allow documents (Word, PowerPoint, txt) to be downloaded as PDF
Documents can only be downloaded via the Box Content API in their original format. It's sometimes desired to download a file directly in PDF, which reduces the size of the file.

An administrator or application, with appropriate permission, should be able to make any arbitrary API call
An administrator or application, with appropriate permission, should be able to make any arbitrary API call (subject to enterprise setting restrictions) for any object or user in the Box enterprise. As an example, forcing a developer to find a folder, collaborate the running user (often using an as-user call on behalf of the folder owner), uploading a file, and then remove that running user is complicated, error prone, and wasteful.
In ECM or platform scenarios in which a large number of files are created, they are often referenced by an id value, rather than something mutable like a name or…
0 votesLarge Folder support will simplify the architecture. You still will need to collab the service account into the content.

Create filter for "Available" apps when searching in the Apps tab of the Admin Console
In the Apps tab of the Admin Console, users can filter by All Apps, Internal, External, and/or Category.
There is no way to quickly view all apps that have been enabled for the Enterprise.
This request is to add an Available filter as a criteria when searching in Individual Application Controls.

Add all webhooks v2 event triggers to the Java SDK
It's currently unclear whether all event triggers listed in developer docs are supported, as the Java SDK does not specifically list them: https://github.com/box/box-java-sdk/blob/master/src/main/java/com/box/sdk/BoxWebHook.java#L584

Gmail - Add 'Attach from Box' (using Box File Picker UI)
Right now, there's no way to 'attach from Box' from within Gmail -- the user must manually go get the shared link from Box, then paste in an email.
REQUEST: Provide an 'attach from Box' button within Gmail that opens the (new) Box file picker, allowing the user to choose a Box file, choose the shared link permission, then automatically add the shared link in.
0 votesSolved! This functionality is available through the Box for Gmail integration. See here: https://community.box.com/t5/Using-the-Box-for-Gmail/Using-Box-for-Gmail/ta-p/62275
