FEATURE REQUEST: Notification when reports ran in the admin console completes since reports usually take more than a couple of hours to run.
I enabled notifications for the BOX REPORTS folder for uploads but this does NOT notifiy me when the report completes.

Print in Preview Mode when using web-based Box
It would be a game changer if Box added in the ability to print documents directly from the preview view while using the browser version of Box. It is very time consuming and labor intensive to have to open each document in their native application to print them. If we could instead print documents directly from the preview mode in the browser, it would make things much easier.

Our workers where gloves and it's hard for them press the on screen button to take photos.

Ability to mirror documents in other root folders
Our organization utilizes the collaboration with external users to give them access to view one specific folder relative to their client account. We do not want these users to have access to our main folder that houses the original documents for their client account, but rather only this one specific folder that has a copy of selected documents relative to their positions on the Board. Right now, we have to manually upload or delete new documents to both folders. If there is a change to our original document, we have to manually upload the new version to the copy folder…
1 voteHello, if we understand your request correctly, you could use the bookmark feature to bookmark a link to specific files so the Board will always be routed to the up-to-date version of the original document but not be able to view the rest of the items in the main folder.

Clarification of SDK Authentication
It would be really nice if there was a good clean copy of the authentication methods script. The pieces and parts don't work and it is hard to figure out why. Example... Trying to authenticate with OAuth2 you can't get it to work with the examples and then jumping over to upload files doesn't jive. Aside from the Dev Token method, I can't get anything to work. HOW DO I AUTHENTICATE WITH OAUTH2?

I want to be able to create a a custom report, which I want to run on a monthly basis. Why can I not create a report and save as a custom report. That way each month I do not have to apply the filters each month.

Export owned and collaborated files & folder tree by user
When exporting user’s Files & Folder tree, it only shows the users owned folders. It should show all the content the user has in their account, including collaborated folders. even after selecting a specific user.

Display warning if you are opening a file in, for example, Word Desktop when someone else has it open in Word Online.
I know that you can see that teeny icon in the upper right of the preview window when someone is editing the file in Word Online, for example. But it would be great if there were a warning that pops up to tell you that someone has it open in Online, and to warn you of the consequences of editing it in Desktop. Users get really freaked out when they get the conflict error after the fact, and a warning would at least explain the consequences.
22 votesHello. This feature already exists in Box. When you have a file open in an online editor (either Office Online or GSuite), there are two indicators that this is occurring:
(1) a tinycon next to the file name to indicate an open online editing session
(2) the Open With menu is restricted only to the current online editing session, so you can join a co-editing session for the active tool, but desktop and any other editing tools are disabled for entry -

Create an API endpoint that returns information from status.box.com, so that customers can access this information programmatically.

Easily replicate folder structure for projects
We would like the ability to better manage templates of existing content so that he can very easily replicate a folder structure within Box for ongoing projects.

Remove Open with Office Online Option
We would like the ability to remove the option for opening documents in Office Online (ex: Microsoft Excel Online: Open this file in your browser). We are not O365 customers and people are often confused since the option to open in the native desktop Office app looks practically the same.

We actually already have a ‘Show Folder Tree’ feature in the Web App – you can access it by simply clicking ‘Show Folder tree’ when on the All Files page in your account. Here’s a screenshot of what that feature looks like: https://cloud.box.com/s/zihrv07iv7mei41a0uf8ew5fnc9dlu9n

Allow users to invite collaborators from Box Drive
Allow users to invite collaborators from Box Drive, rather than only being able to do this from the website.
5 votesUsers have the ability today in Box Drive to ‘Manage Collaborators’ via the right click menu of a file. When selected, this will cross-launch to the manage collaborator page on the Box.com web application.
