Easily replicate folder structure for projects

Remove Open with Office Online Option
We would like the ability to remove the option for opening documents in Office Online (ex: Microsoft Excel Online: Open this file in your browser). We are not O365 customers and people are often confused since the option to open in the native desktop Office app looks practically the same.

We actually already have a ‘Show Folder Tree’ feature in the Web App – you can access it by simply clicking ‘Show Folder tree’ when on the All Files page in your account. Here’s a screenshot of what that feature looks like: https://cloud.box.com/s/zihrv07iv7mei41a0uf8ew5fnc9dlu9n
Hope that helps!

Give users access to Automations without becoming a co-admin
Certain communications do not need to go to Automations creators. Rather, they are truly meant for co-admins. Additional granularity would help reduce noise.

This can be done by running a User Activity report with the “Created a task” filter: https://community.box.com/t5/How-to-Guides-for-Admins/Running-Reports/ta-p/26790#useractivity

File folder tree report needed for potential security breach
Scenario: Employees have improperly stored data in box.com by marking data as public that should not have been labeled in such a manner. The data is sufficiently sensitive that the company would like to quantify and evaluate what has been labeled in such a way to make the data public.
8 votesIt sounds like what is being asked for here is a content report that includes history for when content was marked public. This information can be found by running a User Activity report for Collaboration and Shared Links type events: https://community.box.com/t5/How-to-Guides-for-Admins/Running-Reports/ta-p/26790#useractivity.

show automation creator as the sender of automation task assignment email
Currently, automation task email notifications show the sender as the primary email regardless of who created the automation
In a large company, users might not even know who the admin is and discard the emails as spam or unnecessary.

3-Legged OAuth - Supported Multiple Redirect URI
When migrating from environment to environment (Example Dev -> QA -> Staging -> Prod. OldProd -> NewProd), supporting multiple redirect URIs would be very helpful. It would reduce the need to create multiple App in the Dev Console.
6 votesIn the Developer Console, under app configuration, it's possible to add multiple redirect URI.

Workflow phases for easier understanding of progress
We have a workflow that could be over 25 steps in total. These steps are separated, in their original design, into phases such as Preparation > Briefing > Development > Sign-off > Release. Currently, it's impossible for users to see which stage they are in or which stages have been completed, as they are not defined. A user would have to know the number of steps in each phase to understand this currently. Phasing is a basic feature included in most workflow systems.

Direct Links for files on Box Drive
We have Excel files that reference each other that we moved from local drives to Box Drive. The links change to whatever box folder we move them to, but the path is listed as "C:\users\username\filename"... etc. We need these links to reference the actual Box URL so that other people who have access to the file can still get the updated reference.
46 votesThe Box Drive folder can now be placed in a ‘general’ location outside of C:\users\username. This should resolve your issue. More information can be found here: https://community.box.com/t5/Deploying-Managing-Box-Drive/Configuring-the-Default-Box-Drive-Folder-Location/ta-p/66248

Auto-Update Drive so there is no end user interaction needed
We have 15000 users and trying to manage manual updates for Drive is tedious and often painful.
17 votesBox Drive will silently update without user interaction if an update is available when the user launches Box Drive (such as after they reboot their machine)
