1. Alert users to communication failures between box and Office Online

   Three times in the last two months, we have lost hours of edits to box files made in PowerPoint Online. Box’s position is that this is a communication failure on the Microsoft side: box passed the file to Microsoft and Microsoft failed to pass the file back. The edits made are lost with no recovery possible.

   Since Microsoft has published its auto-save frequency for all of its integration partners (see https://wopi.readthedocs.io/en/latest/scenarios/coauth.html), could box implement a process to check for the auto-save in the window specified by Microsoft, and alert the end user if it’s not occurring? If box sees widespread failures, box could include it in the list of known issues on its website. Since box is not checking to see if files are auto-saving, it has no way of knowing when the issue is occurring as it did after a Microsoft break fix on July 23-24.

   It would certainly seem that box is better equipped to do this than an end user who has no visibility into the communication between box and Microsoft or lack thereof.

2. Slack Workflow Builder integration

   I am creating workflow with "Slack workflow builder". And I want to output the file whose information is collected by the workflow to box.
   Currently, "Google Sheets for Workflow Builder" can make it happens.

   This is currently not planned. Please consider that there exist first Box connectors for the Slack Platform 2.0 Workflows, which currently allow to copy a file, create a folder and request a Box Sign signature.

3. Default folder setting for Box for Teams

   Possibility to make the "import your own folder into a channel" become the default option instead of "creating a dedicated file tree" for Box for Teams v2

4. VTiger does not have an integration with Box.com

   We are planning to use VTiger, a CRM software, but realise that it does not integrate with Box.com. Are there any plans to change that? Other wise we need to switch to Google Drive or Drop box. Thanks

6. Select the type of access from Box for Outlook.

   【Prerequisites】
   Folder Settings>Only collaborators can access this folder via shared links
   Set to "Folders Only". ( *It is not "Files Only". )

   【Method】
   1.Run the Box for Outlook "Upload and Attach".
   2.Select the items you want to attach to the email and select a folder in the Box.
   3.Select the type of access.
   *However, the pull-down for selecting the type of access will only show "Users in this folder".

   【Requests】
   Even when the above preconditions have been set,
   we want to select "People with the link" or "People in Company" or "invited people only" from Box for Outlook.

7. Increase Google file size limitation >100MB

   Please have Google increase File Size Limitation over 100MB.

   Google currently has a file size limitation of 100 MB. In our workflow 1. Doc is created in Google Slides. 2. Once finalized, that doc becomes a template (>100MB) where it is shared across the entire company. 3. Once other users begin to make changes or try to make a copy to that template, they all get the Unsaved Changes message, due to Google's owner of the file size limitation. Google then fails to send those changes to Box.

   i miss support of box in thunderbird so i can use box as file link provider in thunderbird, imho this have worked in older version of thunderbird but it does not now in latest thunderbird

9. Instagram Feed Planning

   Hello!

   Im trying to plan my instagram feed and considering some apps to do this. My problem is that I cannot access my photos in Box from these apps.
   For ex-. I can't upload pics stored in my Box using PreviewApp or Planoly. In Planoly the option to upload from Box doesn't even show up. On PreviewApp the option shows up, but when I click, I only see a 'sand clock' with no option to proceed.

   Every app is linked to Dropbox. I think Box should make sure that apps link to Box the same way as with Dropbox.

10. Bug in Box plug-in for Outlook

    There is a bug in the Box plug-in for Outlook - whenever you add a file using the Box plug-in, it removes all the formatting/numbering from the rest of the email. This is quite annoying! Can this be fixed please?

    Microsoft has released Live presentation features for powerpoint files. This is available for powerpoint files saved on Onedrive or sharepoint but not available .pptx files saved on Box

13. approve TOS via Salesfotce integration

    you cant approve TOS through the SF integration. you get the notification, they you click agree, then there is a white screen and nothing happens.... then you need to approve again.
    looks like a bug.
    you can only approve via webapp.
    very frustratins

    you should have same capabilities via the SF integration as we get on webapp.

    For example, if user would like to edit files on "Microsoft Office" app, they need to set “Files can be saved to device: On “ on Admin console > Enterprise settings > Mobile
    But some users cannot set "ON" due to their security policy. "Open In" icon is grayed out.

    Create a check Box "Respect Rights" when adding an existent folder to Box Files of Box for Teams V2.

    Be able to get back the Box for Teams V1 mechanism.

    In my IT Teams, Support Team and Infra Team has a separate Box file tree with different rights, i want Box Files to respect it.
