Customize shared link expiration for collaborators
When folder owners choose to extend collaborator expirations clicking on the Clock icon, it will only extend the preset period.

Pre-Render Previews After File Upload
Currently, Box will only go through the 'generating preview' process when the first user goes to Preview a file.
Request: pre-render files once uploaded such that users (even the first to preview a file) don't have to see the 'generating preview...' progress bar anymore.
1 votePre-conversion (converting the file when it’s uploaded) will only benefit a small amount of users. We will revisit this if user behavior changes.

We had a similar “Like” feature for files and it was confusing and not helpful for our users.
We would need to understand why a user would need this and how it would benefit the work they are trying to get done.

Request to add an Address book feature when adding or @mentioning users.
Currently, there are only 5 suggestions displayed when adding, @mentioning users.
There are more than 5 users with the same name and it is hard to filter out the exact user.
We would like an address book feature so we can filter out the users to invite. Address book should include user name, Organization name, groups, etc.

We will consider it in the future if there is increased customer demand.

Upload notifications should notify user of uploads even if their account is the one uploading to a folder
User has set their folder settings to allow notification emails for a certain folder. She only gets email notifications when other people upload to that folder and not when she does. She would like to be able to receive notification emails when she uploads to the folder.
1 voteThis is an interesting feature! However, it does not have enough demand or impact in order to be prioritized. We will reconsider with additional demand.

Error message shown for failed uploads could be more descriptive or specific.
"There was a problem downloading the items. Please try again" is the provided error message for a downloading error.
We would like this message to be more descriptive and potentially include information around which specific files have and haven't been successful so that users able to continue the download as required.

Logging in with Google Account on Android
Once you allow Box to login using your Google Account credentials on your computer, you should be able to login using those same Google Account credentials using 'Company credentials' at the login screen on your Android mobile device. This currently is not the case, but users are able to do this on their iPhones.

Make Custom Terms of Service Page Responsive
Currently, the Custom Terms of Service acceptance page that users are shown upon first login to Box (when their EID has enabled Custom ToS) is not responsive and renders pretty poorly across Mobile, Sync, and other endpoints where the window is smaller than a full browser window.

Personal folders created by a service account appear yellow instead of blue
When content creation is restricted and personal folders are created on a users behalf, it would make more sense for the end user to see those folders as yellow instead of blue to indicate that they aren't shared

Ability to Obsolete Folders & Notify Owner
Add an option under the folder settings ([?] button), under Sharing, add an item for Obsolete Folder which upon selecting would go to a simple page stating that clicking Ok will notify the Folder Owner(s) that you believe this folder is obsolete and should be deleted.
Additionally, when selecting Remove, to Remove as Collaborator, that page can also have an option to notify the Owner(s) that the folder looks to be obsolete and is suggested to be deleted.
1 voteThis addresses a narrow use case without adding value to a significant amount of our users.
There is also a current way to achieve this by emailing the owner to ask them to delete the folder.

Video embed widget - choose screenshot for video
Users would like to be able to choose the screenshot that appears before the video begins.

Add New Permission Level
Users are requesting for a permission level where collaborators can view and download, but cannot "get link."

Add Support on Adobe Links Files
Creative teams leverage this the most when they are cross-linking between Adobe files into a master file to consolidate auto-updating and auto-pulling of all the assets coming from all the different files.

Auto-redirect to Box account after logging in once and typing in Box.com in the address bar
One of our users does not like the fact that Box auto re-directs to his Box account after logging in to his browser once, then opening up a new tab and typing in Box.com.
Example:
- Login to Corporate account
- Open new tab/window and type http://www.box.com and hit enter
- Page loads to corporate Box account and does not allow me to go to box.com public website
It could be addressed by an intermediary page that offers both options, or it could be addressed by identifying that the user is logged in, still navigating to the path requested (e.g. Box.com) and then…

Given the relatively minor affected population, we will not introduce friction for our product to solve for this use case.

Make "More Actions" tool usable with multi-select
Currently the More Actions button is not available for "more actions." If a person multi-selects files then chooses "more actions" the action is only applied to the object last selected. To improve ease-of-use, consider making "more actions" apply to multiple files if multi-select is used before an app under "more actions" is launched.
