Enhance File/folder restoration process
File/folder restoration on Box is a slow and clumsy process. When my end users move/delete large folders by accident and try to restore them, it takes HOURS for it to restore and to my end users, it looks like nothing is happening until the process is complete. This large window of time where nothing seems to be happening further frustrates my end users and they make more changes during the restoration process further making a mess and I have to end up opening a ticket with support to clean up the mess. Allow upload of .pxd file extensions
Add .pxd file extensions to the approved list of files supported. This if for an illustration software called Pixelmator Pro.

Bring back home directory "mountpoint" on the mac
I don't know if it's just me, or some problem with the privacy etc settings that have been a moving target with OSX lately, but after my latest reboot on a fully updated MacBook I was greeted with a popup from Box Drive saying it is now fully MacOS 12 compatible, and lo and behold, my /Users/app/Box directory is gone. I can only access Box files from the Explorer, but not the command line. I never looked into what the Box drive was exactly, a link, a mountpoint, no idea, but I miss it badly.

"Box Problem Items" error dialog is useless
I received "file path is invalid on this system" errors from Box Drive through a "Box Problem Items" dialog. This window is useless! All it lists is the problem folder names. I can't simply rename the problem folder from this window; I can't click the folder icon and navigate to the problem folder in my file structure; I can't even swipe the file name and copy it into the search bar so I can find the problem folder on my own. Such a garbage error report! Please make this dialog actually useful

Cannot use Microsoft explorer search function for Box Drive
I cannot use the Microsoft explorer search function to select all the pictures stored offline in my box Drive directory under several sub directories using *.jpg function. I use Box to save a back up of my picture files. The only solution was to duplicate a separate directory with the sub directories of all the picture files in my hard drive and use *.jpg to select the pictures to play in the slide slow. This problem is NOT there for Drop Box or Mega directories where Microsoft explorer search function works fine. The native Box search function cannot be used…

When using BoxDrive, sometimes the folder or file actually exists, but the message "This folder is empty" is displayed.
When using BoxDrive, sometimes the folder or file actually exists, but the message "This folder is empty" is displayed.
When opening a folder, I want you to incorporate the logic to judge whether it is empty and display "This folder is empty" or "Searching". If it says it's empty, you'll be checking Box.com. Enhancement to file manager in box
I find box to be a clunky way to collaborate.
This is a linear search for files. Its not obvious how to sort by file name or date. There has to be a better way to organize files and directories. Microsoft file manager is far superior to this.

Box Drive Internet Explorer embedded authentication
Box Drive currently utilizes embedded Internet Explorer (IE) for authentication process. Microsoft will end support starting June 15, 2022 for IE. In addition, IE does support all current MFA protocols including FIDO2 (FIDO2 is supported by all other current browsers). We were informed by support that there is no roadmap to correct this and if this is not corrected by June 15, 2022 we will be unable to utilize Box within our organization due to lack of security being presented by Box and it imbedded IE.

Refresh function in Box Drive
Currently, it is necessary to logout/login to clear the cache and errors, but this is troublesome.
I would like to be able to do this with the touch of a button.

Really need a better way for individuals to organize folders on their Box Drive
I see some ideas under consideration, and amazingly adding Collections to Box Drive is not one of them. Box Drive urgently needs a better way for individual users to organize contents without affecting the online heirachy for everyone else

Add "disable for select users" as a Box Drive Mark for Offline option
A global Box customer is looking to disable MFO (Marking for Offline) for a selected users.
This would be a "symmetrical" counter-option to the existing "enable for select users", and also similar to how some other features can be managed within Box Admin Console, making the MFO options more consistent with broader Box experience for admins.2 votes -
Box Drive to support Windows AutoPilot installation
Currently, when Microsoft Windows AutoPilot is used to install Box Drive, it fails as Box Drive restarts Explorer.exe during the installation.

Folder colors
In Box it is not very easy to see what foders are shared externally. There are small globe icons on the collaborators, but if that list is too long, the external collaborator might not show up.
Apart from that: the list of collaborators is not visible in Box Drive.
Box should introduce a new Folder type (different color, different icon) to show that information in this folder is shared with external collaborators. This functionality should be available across all clients (Web, Drive, Mobile).

Enhanced automatic locking of read-only files
Allow users to choose to lock or not lock the read-only configuration file instead of automatically locking it.
It also prevents the read-only attribute from being automatically released when auto-unlocked.

List of Offline Folders in Box Drive
It would be great to be able to see a list of folders marked for offline availability in Box Drive. We've had a few users who end up accidentally using up too much hard drive space, but can't remember exactly what folders they've marked offline. We end up needing to have them sign out of Box Drive to clear all offline folders, then sign back in and re-mark folders they need.

Ability to copy/duplicate files
My local City sends out links to files that expire in 30 days or so.
Currently I download those files, then upload them back to box,net.The "copy" feature for such links seems to copy the links, not create a safe local copy of the data.

Enhancement for Box Drive Auto lock/unlock
We would like to see the lock owner name and the duration when a user opens a locked file. Also, we would like to get a notification when the lock gets released

"Your Download is In Progress" pop-up confuses clients
When a client of ours who is not a Box user downloads a file, a pop-up which says "Your Download is In Progress" appears. The issue is that the pop-up looks like there are only three courses of action, “sign up”, “log in”, or “x” out. Many of our clients have not realized that there is a fourth option, which is just wait for the download. This has caused confusion time and time again across different clients at different times. Re-implement Windows shell icon overlays - Fix it permanently

Now in Windows 10, if we rename the registry keys, the moment the computer restarts OneDrive changes the keys again so that the box icons are not showing.According to Microsoft this should be attacked in a more modern way

Scheduled Lock/Unlock capability
Add a feature that where owners can set up a reoccurring automated lock and unlock for day and time of the week. Same as you see in office outlook for reoccurring meetings, but with a locked file. This way users can only access the file/log during specific times and the owner can work the file when it's locked again. Currently, this is all manual and can cause issues when a report is still locked and users in different time zones need to add items to a log before a specific time in PST.
