Additional columns in User activity report
User activity report provide events of "Approved Task" and "Rejected task"
Currently, User activity report provide just following events:
Assigned a task
Updated a task assignment
Created a taskTherefore, administrator cannot detect events of "Approved Task" and "Rejected task" These information should be provided in the report to know when the task was approved or rejected.

Need to be able to view group members before adding to a folder
Would be great to be able to see members of a group prior to adding them to a folder. At the moment, even those groups which are listed as being viewable by anyone in the company can't be viewed until AFTER they are added to a folder, unless someone is a group admin. It means that either someone has to contact an admin to be sure they have the right group, or they have to add the group and then check right away to make sure they added the right one.

Distinguish FTP and FTPS in User Activity Report
would like a way to distinguish the difference between FTP and FTPS traffic.
The “details” column in the user activity report only shows the connection to “Box FTP Server”,
but it doesn’t specify which protocol or port was used.2 votes -
need the collaboration list based on user level .
This is similar to UI settings , in the user settings when you click collaborations , you will get the collaboration list of all the folders.
Similar api is required.

whitelist external users for File Request Link
In business you frequently work with external partners or agencies and need to have the ability for those entities to manage a File Request Link. Limiting the File Request Link to just managed users limits the collaboration ability of the business needs.

Prevent users to change their own permission level
Prevent users to cange their own permission level in order to avoid "downgrading" the permission from Co-Owner to Viewer (for example) just for yourself.
Or not allowing a user to remove himself/herself from a folder.

Increase the 10,000 Limit for Groups
Currently if you create more than 10,000 groups, the groups at the bottom of the list alphabetically cannot be searched for when creating a collaboration.
35 votesThis is definitely something that we want to do. However, it is a long term project that will take us more than a year. Marking as ‘not planned’ for now but will update the status once we have more details.

Extend expiration dates to be shown in their user activity reports
For external collaborations, it shows the date the collaboration is going to end when it's first set in the user activity to report as
-Action: Collaboration expiration
-Details: To: YYYY-MM-DDHowever when you extend this period, the "To: YYYY-MM-DD" isn't displayed so you don't know until when it's extended until unless you go the individual folder/file itself and look at the "clock" mark manually.
In the report
-Action: Extend collaborator expiration
-Details: [Blank]The customer wants to have a grasp of each expiration dates so they're saying looking at each item manually on Box is impractical.

External collaborator redundant expiration notice
If a Box folder is created in one Box org. and external collaborators are added, they’re already set to expire depending on the rules.
If you move the folder to another org., and the new org has the same domain as the added collaborators that were set to expire, they still get the expiration notice, even though they shouldn’t expire because the new org. matches the added collaborators.

Sharing Content to Alternate Email Address
Currently when sharing content via email address, if the address used is a secondary email on their account, the UX is to show that the email address is for an external user, rather than a user in your box tenant. Additionally, the full name of the user does not resolve, leading users to believe that the address they selected is inaccurate.
All alternate email addresses should be treated as searchable attributes that bring up the user profile rather than just the primary.

Keep Cost Center Field populated when user invited as a Managed user
If creating an account and you have to send the user an Invite to come over as a managed user, the Cost Center field (If filled out) will not stay after the user accepts the invite. Forcing you to have to go back and re-add info you may have already included.
I would request that if the Cost Center field is populated on a user creation, that it remain after an invited user accepts their invite to stop double work.

API: "email_alias" Is it possible to register other than the same domain?
API: "email_alias" Is it possible to register other than the same domain?
At this time, if you disable it until the email address is confirmed with
the same specifications as when registering from the UI,
I think that you can prevent misuse.Example)
Suppose a customer wants to give a user two email addresses in different
domains before the company integrates.
↓
This specification allows administrators to bulk register using
the API without user effort.1 vote -
Specific Access to subfolders in the same Folder
Is it possible to give to users view permission only to specific subfolders within a folder? Example: I want to upload to a master folder 5 subfolders to our daughter company partners and I want to make sure that the 3 subfolders out of the 5 of them will be viewed only from their bosses. This flexibility helps you to avoid creating 2 different folders for the same Task-Subject.
1 votePermissions are based on the folder. All files within a folder will be accessible to all collaborators. See here for more info and contact Support with any questions: https://support.box.com/hc/en-us/articles/360043697254-Understanding-Folder-Permissions

Bulk invitation
We have multiple clients that we give access to several folders. I'd like to be able to send a single collaboration invitation, rather than inundating their mail with multiple invitations.

Box settings fail to provide needed permissions for those who upload data.
Box settings (limitations) in connection with Anderson Business Advisors are very frustrating. Uploader's should be able to edit what they upload. I have complained about this for two years. The impact is that garbage is scattered all over the site because I can't property rename or reposition files. This causes further confusion and extra communications with Anderson employees. I'm becoming incredulous about this - it seems like such a simple expectation to be able to rename a folder, or move a simply file into a folder after it has been uploaded. Please provide this simply capability ASAP.

Automatically generated user report emails
I'd like to be able to automatically generate a user report email to an admin after each user logs out, be able to see activity on the files they've been given access to.
