  1. Ability for admin to configure expiry duration of open links that are sent to recipient's

    Box Sign uses open links to distribute completed agreements to all recipients. This open link expires after 14 days. Some customers want to make this shorter or zero to protect sensitive information and some other customers want to make it longer as recipient's dont want to create accounts in order to access the agreement after the 14 day period.

    Please add a feature in admin console so that the admin can decide the expiry period for their enterprise

  2. Can't insert video from the file in PowerPoint Online in Box

    It is currently impossible to insert a video from the local file in PowerPoint Online via Box.
    The only options are "Insert from stock video" and "Insert online video".
    However, this feature is present in native Microsoft 365 PowerPoint Online in SharePoint/OneDrive.

    The feature set in Office Online apps should be the same in Box and MS. Otherwise, MS Office Online in Box can't completely replace SharePoint.

  3. Group-based SSO configuration

    Current Status and Issues:
    SSO mode can only be set for all users.
    If SSO is mandatory, when IdP fails, all users cannot log in to Box.

    Desired Improvement:
    I would like to specify a Box group to enable/disable/require SSO. If only the administrator can set "SSO Enabled", he/she can log in even in case of IdP failure, and by changing the setting of general users from "SSO Required" to "SSO Enabled", the business can continue.
    Furthermore, if possible, we would like to set it up so that different groups can SSO in different IdPs.

  4. block an upload by external user using Box Drive with smart access

    The current Shield feature only controls downloading, cannot blocks uploading/syncing and is not ransom-proof. The biggest problem is that when external users use BoxDrive and BoxSync, ransomware-infected files are uploaded/synchronized on Box.

  5. Actions to make documents and folders (box drive, 'Make Available Offline' ) appear in reports as Downloads - same as normal downloads

    When identifying anomolous downloads (ie potential data leakage), we utilise both Box Shield alerts and User Activity reports to establish details.

    However, User Activity reports (csv, column E 'Action') do not differentiate between those documents and folders downloaded, and those that are 'Made Available Offline'. When attempting to avoid data leakage, the difference is important. Making content available offline is a legitimate task for users. However, large quantities of normal downloads may indicate fraudulent theft of data.

    We need to be able to differentiate between the two types, as soon as possible

  7. Add signature without needing to select default on every document

    I manage 10-30 or more unique documents/invoices for accounts payable purposes on a regular basis. In DocuSign I can manage many documents, and I have 1 signature that is auto-filled for me when I add the Signature field. Although I only have 1 Saved signature In Box Sign, the extra pop-up window prompts me to select the 1 signature I have that saved in signature apply it to every document individually, resulting in additional clicks on every document. I'd like to request that this be a Box Sign enhancement to consider for all clients, to auto-fill if we have selected…

  8. collections

    Business Goal:
    A Collection provides the users the ability to view files from different locations across BOX in a single view, it would be great to provide them the ability to manage the files there as well,

    Currently they can right-click and download the files, but no more than that.

    Giving them the ability to manage them, i.e. move, copy and share the entire collection would be a massive positive change within the BOX platform extending the functionality to better manage the content.

  9. Box Sign requests default "my requests" folder

    Box Sign requests default to save into a "my requests" folder for all users. We don't always need the sign request saved into our regular Box folder structure and having a separate place for each user to send their requests to would be more beneficial.

  10. Unable to download files from "Collections."

    I would LOVE to be able to download the files from a "Collection." It's kinda weird that as powerful as Box is, this seemingly simple task is not available. I spent two days (off and on) assembling a "Collection" only to find that I need to go back and download each file (MS Word doc) individually. Food for thought. Thanks much.

  11. About the mobile viewer screen

    When viewing a file in the viewer on mobile, I want the close button to be displayed.

  13. Detailed reports on the number of API calls

    The API has a rate limit, and an error will occur if it is exceeded.
    This time, an error occurred because the number of API calls exceeded the rate limit.
    We would like to launch apps during times when the number of API calls is low, but at this time there is no way to check the number of API calls in a time range.

    Please implement a report that allows us to see which apps are making API calls, at what time of day, and to what extent.

    Can we get a report of external users and their activity (ie, how many times they've logged in, more importantly, the last time they logged in, etc)? We can do this for internal users but not external users.

  16. Platform Insights - Show Cumulative Graph for monthly API usage

    The graph on the Platform Insights page show the API usage per day using a line graph. It'll be great to be switch between this graph and "Cumulative" graph so that I can clearly see how many APIs I'm using across the month, and how I'm tracking against my API allocation.

    This way, it's easy for me as an Admin to understand if I'm tracking to go over my API allocation for the month and can investigate further (is it a new application? is a current application using more APIs? etc).

  17. Box Shuttle Scheduling Feature onboard

    Currently BoxShuttle does not have a scheduler function.
    By adding a scheduler function as a standard feature, data migration can be set up in advance during the night, which is expected to be more convenient.

    By entering a custom term in the file conditions of [Management Console > Classification > Classification Policy Tab], if that phrase is found, the target label will be assigned. However, Roman numerals are treated as spaces just like symbols, so I would like to see an improvement.

  20. Box Status site improvement

    1. Adding status of each region on Box Status site(https://status.box.com/) , because currently an outage impacting only users in a specific zone/region doesn’t appear on the status site. (e.g. customers who are in Asia region are unable to download/upload/preview.)

    2. Clarifying the definition of impact. "Incident Response and Communications" article (https://support.box.com/hc/en-us/articles/360043697394-Our-Approach-to-Incident-Response-and-Communications) has the guideline of customer impact. However, definitions and examples of each category are not clear enough.
