Limit the resources being used by Box Sync
Users would like an option to limit the resources being used by box sync. This is affecting coworkers; it is not just an issue with machine.
11 votesWe are not planning to implement controls around this in Box Sync. You may consider trying Box Drive to see if that improves the resource utilization issue. Since it only uses bandwidth for content users access, it may help to improve things here.

Ability to control access to Box Mobile App per User/Group
Ability to control access to Box Mobile App per User/Group.
I file the request on behalf of the customer.
The customer would like to control access to Box Mobile App per User/Group but it seems that Box can only disable Box Mobile App per Enterprise at this moment.6 votes -
Silently sign in users to Box Drive using their Windows Credentials.
“Enable silent account configuration. For info, see Silently sign in users to the OneDrive sync client with their Windows credentials. If a device is not already joined to Azure AD, enabling this setting will join it.”

Enable account upgrades without needing to have 3 members
I currently have a Personal Pro account, and I'd like to upgrade to get more storage. It seems, however, that all upgrade options involve at least 3 users. I am but one. As much as I'd like to clone myself sometimes, it's just not practical (or, frankly, ethical...but that's another story).
Can we make a way to upgrade a 1-person account without having to pay for two unnecessary users?
If not, you're essentially throwing up a middle finger to solo practitioners, which isn't very nice.

Conflict with the Adobe Photoshop short key (on Windows) Ctrl,Shift,Alt+B
The short key combination (on Windows) Ctrl,Shift,Alt+B, overrules the Adobe Photoshop version of this combination by opening a Box search window. As I use this combination in Photoshop (to open the black/whit dialogue window) it is often quite annoying that even when working in Photoshop this combination doesn't work as intended. An option to have the possibility to change the short key combination (or another solution) in another would solve this problem. More so because I understand that checking all short keys that are in use in any program is impossible.

The rename button needs to be on top and not blocked by subsequent columns
Since a recent update, the rename button (being the pencil icon at the end of the item name) dissappears behind the subsequent columns. This means I can no longer just click on it to accurately name new items. This used to be always accessable and now I must go thr long wayt around to rename items - which is for every. single. item.
Please correct this ASAP!1 vote -

Add list of Groups user is currently a member of to the Managed User Screen
In the "Edit User Access permissions" section of the Managed User page, there is a list of all the groups and a column to indicate if the user is a member. Admin must scroll through all the groups (1000's) to find which groups the user is in.
Would like to see a separate section that just lists the groups the user is currently a member of.

viewer uploader edit file name
Would like to explore a custom permission level - between Viewer-Uploader and Editor, which would have all of the Viewer-Uploader rights, as well as the ability to "Edit File Name".
The use case for this is the following - some users upload documents to a folder, but then need to be able to rename the documents. Renaming the documents before upload isn't an option due to specific workflow constraints. Giving Editor permission is not an option as there's been negative experiences with users accidentally moving or deleting customer folders.
Thanks

Box for office integration COM add-in problem
Box for Office causing “Outlook detected a COM add-in problem” . We know that there is a workaround by modifying the registry keys. However, modifying the registry keys a very hard change for the end user so that the customer is asking us to improve this as product.

Integrate Box for Office with Box Edit
Integrate use of Box Edit (Open files from Box.com, edit, and save back) with Box for Office (Create new files in Word, Excel, etc. and save to Box.com folders).
For example - I frequently generate a series of documents that originate in Box.com, but I want to use the Box SAVE AS command to save them back to the same Box.com folder (or one adjacent to it in the file structure) with a new name. Current functionality when I activate the Box SAVE AS option from an Office application is to treat it like a newly generated file, requiring me…

Your email reminders to setup 2FA are too aggressive
Over the course of 6 hours (during the night), I received 5 emails asking me to 'Set up 2 Factor Authentication'. This is quite aggressive.

It is really frustrating when sharing a file & writing an explanation that is deemed "too long" - so your system just deletes it & there's n
sharing with email limit: word limit too low & without warning message is lost

Box Drive status bar icon
When clicking the "box" icon pinned to the windows status bar, it opens up a search pop-up. Using Box Sync, clicking the icon pinned to the status bar would open up a new windows explorer window.
With box drive, you have to right-click the icon, then click "open box folder". I would like the option to change this to function like Box Sync did.

Visible folder tree (selected folders) and Request access to folders
We face challenges with permission management and ensuring relevant access to folders for staff outside of their Division/Department/Countries. One great solution would be to have the possibility to display part of a folder tree, and to be able to request access to some folders within that folder tree. In this way, a funding person from an affiliate HQ could request access to the EA or PA country’s funding folder to the country funding focal point. This could technically be managed with a very complex use of Box Groups, but it would be an extremely useful alternative solution.

View comments without opening a file's preview
We would like to hover over a file and be able to see the file's comments by the comments appearing at the bottom or side of the page. We would love to see this on both mobile and desktop but would ask for priority on desktop. We write descriptions for our files in comments and then organize our files this way - this becomes time consuming when we have to open each file to preview to view the comments. If we can just hover over the file without opening it to see comments, it would really increase productivity!

RSA Archer Integration
Trying to understand if Box can integrate into RSA Archer (a Governance, Risk, and Compliance tool). We have been unable to find any information on whether Box has this integration and if not what one could look like.
