Gmail integration for mobile devices
AS A Box user who accesses Box from a mobile device (iPhone, Android, etc)
I WANT to be able to save emails and attachments from the Gmail app on my mobile device to my Box account
SO THAT I can be as productive on my mobile device as I am on my regular computer.1 vote -
Limits for simultaneous file uploads and Batch processing capability
I usually upload folders. Each folder could have 1 or 2 files, or 6 or 7 files, or more. When it's just 1 or 2, everything is fine, but when there are 4 or more, they seem to eat up my bandwidth. It would help if there was a limit within Box to control how many files upload simultaneously. Additionally, having a true batch process would be very helpful. That would allow me to line up several folders to upload and each one would upload in turn.

Asynchronous API calls that return a JOB_ID rather than having the session cancelled after 60 seconds
Currently API calls like the "Move Owned Items" almost always run longer than 60 seconds. As a result the session is killed by the Box infrastructure. The "Move Owned Items" task continues to run in basically an asynchronous background mode. But once this happens, the automation process has no way to check the status of the "Move Owned Items" task.
A graceful way to handle this would be to return control back to the caller normally with a JOB_ID that can be used to call back to the "Move Owned Items" API call to check the status of the "background"…

Need a better way to track locations of Box Notes
Bread crumbs are very useful on BOX documents and folders to explore relevant related documents, but they don’t exist on the page of Box Notes. You see them in the index on the left, but that doesn’t correspond to the Box Note you happen to be on. I have to hunt & search if I want to see other docs in the same folder. It would be great if this functionality could be added into Box Notes.

If I include a URL in the optional sharing message, my message is lost.
It would be better for Box to display a warning in-line that URLs are not allowed than to have the message just be lost. Even better would be to allow URLs in messages.

Add Metadata Support for Weblinks
Since you currently can't add metadata to weblinks using the web interface, you have to use tags. This makes filtering systems more complex, since they're having to tie into two different APIs.
It's even complicated further, since you can't actually read those tags via the API -- so you have to add tags to fields you can read, like the title field.

Improve the sharing window to make clearer differentiation between inviting collaborators and sharing a link by email.

Let the various moderators compile playlists of videos
That way there is no need to edit and upload joined versions of videos in parts.

Lock file upon approval task
It is often desirable that the file is locked when an approval task is set to ensure that the approval is given on the exact version of a document as it was when the approval was triggered. It would be useful to have the option to lock a file until the approval task has been approved or declined.

Allow choosing default Group permission setting for push groups
Currently all Box groups pushed from Okta are by default visible to anyone within the Company. We are starting to make extensive use of Box Group pushed from Okta and need those groups to be visible to Admins only to avoid Groups being invited by users to potentially large number of folders.

Allow users to select a folder when creating a new note in the notes console
When creating a new note from the notes app, you should allow users to select which folder the note lives in. It currently defaults to the root of the user's drive. Or improve upon the move note feature.

The current design enables us to export the results of the items only in the specified folder. The customer expects the result as a folder
The request from the customer:
The current design enables us to export the results of the items only in the specified folder.
The customer expects the result as a folder tree starting from the specified folder by the same operation.Could you add an option to bring this new feature even closer to what the customers want?
Use case:
The customers will be able to more easily get the information they need.
This is a more user-friendly way than extracting the information they want from the results obtained by not specifying a folder.2 votes -
Subdomain of shared folder should match folder owner
There is a difference in the URL that is actually displayed to collaborators.
The custom sub domain of the tenant to which user A belongs is “aaa.app.box.com“.
The custom subdomain of the tenant to which user B belongs is “bbb.app.box.com“.User B was invited as a collaborator to a folder owned by user A.
The URL of the file placed in that folder is
User A will see “aaa.app.box.com/file/67022264912“.
User B will see “bbb.app.box.com/file/67022264912“.Can the URL be changed so that the sub domain matches the owner of the folder? When collaborators go to a folder owned by another enterprise,…

Allow Previewer Role the ability to search (ctrl+F) within a file
We would like to limit download of a file, but allow for the ability to Search the file on box (i.e. view it and search it for keywords).
10 votesOn account of our security stance we don’t want to expose the text layer unless a user has permission to download a file. As the text layer is required to initiate search we can not activate the feature for users who don’t have download permissions

Shared link to open file directly in Box Drive
Instead of opening in Web App, we should click a shared link to open in Drive.

Selecting approvers and move destination folders of outcomes dynamically
I got a request from my business partners that it might be very nice for them to be able to select approvers and move destination folders of each outcome dynamically.
They feel inconvenience to create Relay flows as the sames number of external collaboration folders of every company.1 vote -
Full path to the file in notification e-mails
I'd like to ask for adding full path to the file (especialy first level) in notification e-mails to use Outlook rules. Starting this year everybody is a member of many BOX groups - less or more important. It would be very usefull to split the notifications into folders.

The view of files and folders in the Web UI should load dynamically, not be paginated.
Currently, the default experience in the web UI is to paginate the view of files and folders, showing just 20 at a time. That's a pretty antiquated way of displaying a long list--most modern websites, including Box's competitors, just dynamically load more items as you scroll to the bottom of the page. I just finished helping one of our users who was very confused by this: he didn't notice the pagination buttons, and didn't understand where his file had disappeared to.

iPad Bluebeam integration: Allow edits to be made on web instead of download
When a user opens Box in Bluebeam application (via our integration with them) on web, you can make your edits + save back to Box. This is not working the same on iPad: to do this, you have to download it to make edits (this is specific to iPad).
