Re-add 'Print' option to Shared File / Folder pages
The legacy Shared File/Folder page had a native 'print' button on it. However, this Print option was removed on the new version of those pages.

User-Level Option to Default to 'In This Folder' Search
Currently, 'in this folder' searching is an opt-in for each search that a user performs. Some users, however, would like webapp search to mirror the experience we already provide on mobile, aka always defaulting to doing an 'in this folder' search.
REQUEST: Add a user-level setting (within a user's Account Settings) that allows them to opt-in to always defaulting to 'in this folder' searching (meaning the 'in this folder' checkbox in the quicksearch filter will always be checked unless the user manually unchecks it for a specific search).

We need users who have Viewer Uploader rights to always have a document watermarked on DL. According to the ACL, Viewer Uploaders download without the Watermark.

Outlook Upload and Attach
When you use the Box Upload and Attach Add-In within Outlook, the Access Level defaults to People in this folder.
Can this be configured to match the permissions within the company, rather than a blanket default?

Ability to choose default shared link access security level on a per user basis
We have the default shared link permission to people in the folder or file.
We would like to change that default for one user to be "People in your company" for example.

User reporting or user visibility to their own content via 'my' content manager
We want to enable our users with reporting capabilities.
The admins use content manager heavily. We think it would be great for users to also have a high level view of their owned and shared content.
These reports/view could include: File/folder index of folders and documents they currently own and share.

Metadata Versioning History
As we need to meet specific regulatory or compliance requirements, it's helpful to have a history of the metadata attributes that are applied to a folder or file.
It would be ideal if this was versioned on files/folders in the UI or reportable via user reports.
30 votesAlthough we do not plan to introduce this feature in the near term, we recognize its importance. We will certainly keep this in mind for future roadmap inclusion and we will keep the status of this request updated to accurately reflect our current position.

Custom Columns (with sort) in Files List (Kind, Metadata, Access Stats, etc.)
The webapp defaults to showing the user 3 columns - Name, Modified, and Size.
This request is to allow the user to customize which columns are shown -- i.e., show me the Name, Size, and Metadata field X columns, but nothing else. Or show me the Name, Modified, and Access Stats (Previews) columns.
Example columns to choose from:
-Name
-Size
-Kind (File Type)
-Access Stats (Preview, Download, etc.)
-Metadata (specific template/field)
-Created Date
-Updated/Modified Date
-Description

Standardize or lock down naming conventions
The ability to set restrictions on file naming conventions would greatly help admins query their data.

Inactive users are not listed when managing groups
When in the Admin Console and viewing groups, if I go to edit the membership list of a group, the list does not appear to display inactive users, but if I search for a user in the group it will display the user. However, if viewing the members of a group through the normal interface, it will display all members, even inactive ones.
This is potentially confusing as it means that the list of members a group admin would see will be different, and if they want to remove someone, they will not be able to just browse the list…
4 votesThank you for the feedback! IMO, we should not display inactive users in the groups as the group should keep a membership of all the active users. Thanks!
