"The system must have the ability to distinguish document versions as either Major (e.g. x.0) or Minor change (e.g. 0.x)."
"Users must provide a reason for changing a value when updating an approved (i.e. major version) document."

An error occurred while saving the comment AdminAnonymous (Admin, Box) commentedIt would be helpful to clarify what we mean by "deactivating." If we are talking about:
(1) Deleting Managed Users and preserving permissions to content for all Invited Collaborators, then this is already possible today. We simply transfer content to someone else, and this is built into our workflow when deleting Managed Users. All access and permissions for Invited Collaborators is preserved.https://support.box.com/hc/en-us/articles/360043694514-Deleting-Managed-Users
(2) or marking a Managed User as Inactive. When marking an account as Inactive, this will freeze the user’s account, preventing them from making changes to any files. Their content will be frozen for all collaborators too, and Box Sync will also be disabled for the user.
https://support.box.com/hc/en-us/articles/360043693014-Best-Practice-Terminating-Employees
It would be nice to have a third option where we can mark an account as "Inactive, but Invited Collaborators still have access to content."

An error occurred while saving the comment AdminAnonymous (Admin, Box) commentedToday, this can only be done at the Admin level or via a Shared Link.
I'd like this ability at the User Level to have Collaborator access expire after a specific and configurable period of time (xxx # of days or on YY/YY/YYYY date at ZZ:ZZ AMPM).

While we like this idea, it is not currently planned at this time.

This is extremely important because today if I make a very small change (e.g. a comma vs a period), then it creates a new document version. I need to filter, distinguish, and be able to tag or configure the nomenclature between minor and major versions (e.g. completed contract, redlined contract, first draft).
