I completely agree with this. When someone uploads a file to us using the upload widget, the email notification only states the file name and the email address. Even though we prompt the user to input various metadata fields, the email notification displays none of them. Sometimes, when a user has an obscure email address, we have not idea what the file is or who uploaded it unless we open the file first to infer its purpose from the contents of the file itself.
