Block users from taking screenshots on phone when Box Mobile app is open
We are concerned about users taking screenshots of confidential information on their phones
0 votesWe are unlikely to have this feature on our roadmap for a long time. Even if we were to build this feature, users could use other devices to capture confidential information. Instead, we recommend using security tools like watermarking to protect confidential information.

Better rendering of Excel files in EMM
Word and PowerPoint are basically rendered as PDFs or PostScript files (rather than using iOS built-in quick rendering engine, which does not display formatting and charts well).
Excel files are still rendered using the iOS engine, which often leaves out crucial charts and doesn't reproduce frozen panes, which are needed to show large Excel files in a more manageable format.

We don’t plan on adding any new MDM providers. However, if you can deploy a managed app config it will work. Let us know if you have any pending questions.

Provide 1 month notice before releasing new functionality
This is not only for Box for EMM but also other apps like Box for iOS/Android /etc.
0 votesWe currently plan on monthly releases. EMM tends to release 2 weeks after the standard app, assuming there are no major issues discovered.

Need to be able to capture as bi-tonal in the "Scan" setting
This will improve the quality of the image captured and reduce the file size of the upload.

Able to change reading mode (single/ double page) when previewing PDF doc
With the new tablet from version 4.7x. Previewing PDF file on landscape mode will force a double page rendering.
The double page mode works fine when the pdf is created in portrait layout. but with document in landscape (e.g.: pptx) it reduces readability as page is scaled to fit.

Disable the automatic creation of the My Photos folder when installing Mobile App.
Disable the automatic upload of camera images and the subsequent creation of a folder to store the uploads.

Grey out "Require passcode" option when Enterprise requires a passcode.
It may make for a better UX if, when the Enterprise requires a passcode for the mobile app, the option was greyed out and unable to be toggled.
As it stands, when you turn it off, it prompts you to create a passcode and then turns back on.

Prevent personal email clients from being opened in Box for EMM via 'Email Link' option
The 'Email Link' functionality in Box for EMM, used when emailing a shared link, directly prompts the user for email clients recognized on the device (e.g. default email client and Gmail). We would like to be able to restrict Box for EMM from presenting the option of the personal email client.
Or, as a fallback, restrict the 'Email Link' option entirely, as it serves as a security loophole for our team.
0 votesThere is no method for the Box mobile app to distinguish between a personal and business email address.
Even if we were able to remove the email functionality, which many customers use, end users would still be able to copy the shared link and paste it within their desired email client.
The shared link itself should be where proper security is enforced. These restrictions can be managed through the Admin Console.
