  1. Support for Regular Expression (REGEX) for Auto-Classification in Shield

We would like the ability to support Regular Expressions (REGEX) for creating auto-classifications rules in Shield. This would greatly enhance how much we can leverage the capability

  2. Shield Suspicious Location User-Level Exclusion

Allow for user level exclusion for suspicious location alerts. This is helpful in the event that users are traveling across locations and various IP addresses.

  3. Allow custom Shield classification order

As a user, when I apply a classification, I want to see them in order of sensitivity, as opposed to alphabetical

  4. Block single user

Our security has deemed a single email as suspicious. We would like to block this single email from connecting to our Box, or being collaborated into our Box.

With Shield we can block the whole domain, but that approach is too broad and would limit too many valid email addresses.

  5. Take action on user based on Threat Detection Shield Rule

Extending threat detection ALERTS to take action on a user's access would be very valuable. I've heard lots of customers request having a user's account deactivated if they access Box from a suspicious location. Right now, there is not a way to do this through the core Box application, it has to be done through custom scripting or with another tool.

  7. Create reports for Shield actions/tracking

Create reporting for Shield activities, including the following:
    1) Classifications applied by their name (i.e. 'externalpublic used on 157 folders/files'). This would help determine popular and unpopular classifications.
    2) User who applied the classification label and each time they applied one (i.e. Person A applied shield classification labels on 10/1, 10/2, 10/3, etc). Helps see who is using the labels and how frequently.
    3) User and which label they applied (i.e. Person B applied the external
public label on 10/1, 10/2, 10/3, etc.). Helps see a combo of the above two bullets.
    4) Number of times a shield classification…

  8. Classified contents report

We would like to list the contents based on the classification, to find classified contents stored in unexpected folder.
Some of sensitive contents need to be strictly controlled and stored in the proper folder.

  9. Make Shield Lists Accessible via API

Shield lists are not currently editable using an API endpoint. In order to make it possible to automate adding and removing entries to lists, I suggest making it possible to create/view/edit/delete shield lists using the Box API.

  11. Whitelisting Access Using Managed User Groups

Companies frequently hire contractors and provide them with company email addresses to access internal networks and applications. This creates an issue with contractors having visibility into an entire folders and not just the projects/folders that apply to them. Shield's whitelisting capabilities allow us to limit external email domains, but because contractors are given a company email domain the whitelisting capabilities do not apply.

We would like to be able to create a "Consultants" Managed User Group and whitelist access to break waterfall permission for internal Managed User Groups.

  12. "Smart Access: Download restriction" for G-Suite

We want "Smart Access: Download restriction" to control the download/printing capability of G-Suite apps. We want the integration just like office online which restrict download/print on office online apps.

For security perspective, we want to minimize the risk of data breach, so we are planning to store the confidential files on box and restrict the content to be downloaded to the devices. However currently if user opened the files on G-Suite, the files can be downloaded or printed.

  13. Allow configuration of permissions to apply and change each classification created

To apply or change a classification, select "Owners/co-owners and editors" in the classification settings, and then click Users with editorial privileges or higher can apply and change the classifications.
However, by implementing a feature that allows configuration of permissions to apply and change each classification created, the Security can be enhanced.

  14. Tale over the settings in shield trial mode

Currently, the trial mode classification and settings will disappear at the end of the trial period.
If we have a Shield contract, we would like to take over its classification and settings.

By eliminating the need to set them up again in the production environment, we can make a smooth transition.

  15. Return character in Classification Definition

Currently "Classification Definition" can be written with 'return character' in its input form. But when this "Classification Definition" is shown to the user, 'return character' is being ignored and is shown in one line.

Definition needs to be shown in the same way it was written / configured, and also needs to be shown in several lines when required (e.g. written in multiple languages where each language's definition needs to be shown in each line, instead of all in single line).

  16. Using Smart Access

When entering a List when creating a Shield Smart Access Policy, have drop down appear that shows all available lists with short descriptions so the user doesn't have to try to remember the names of the lists they created or what they generally contain.

  18. We want the ability for Download policies to also trigger on unusual download activity by external collaborators

We see external collaborators with high download activity using accounts outside of our enterprise (ie: gmail, yahoo?). The business is getting quite frustrated that they cannot report on these email addresses.
