Option to Remove Expiration of a Collaborator after Auto-Expiration is disabled
Admin request option when disabling Auto-Expiration feature for collaborators within Enterprise:
- Allow option to choose extension date for pre-existing collaborators who's access is going to expire.
- Allow option to disable/remove auto expiration for collaborators by Admin or Owner.
This will affect multiple user across our enterprise where they will have to be re-invited to folders since expiration cannot be removed.

We don’t plan to currently support this, as most customers would find it problematic if a user could simply turn on the smallest possible security measures and thus receive a “valid” device.

Have Device Trust perform occasional background checks on Sync client
Have Device Trust perform occasional background checks on Sync client to ensure the device still passes, otherwise remotely logout the device.

Add SHA1 hash value to event stream for applicable events
We have built a custom event stream logging application to maintain a local database of shared links and their targets. We would like a SHA hash to be added to the event stream for applicable events (shared link create, file upload, file download, etc.) to ensure we can identify uniquely the file version in use in a defensible fashion.

If a managed user triggers IP CAPTCHA, send an email notification to the enterprise's admin.
If a user triggers CAPTCHA on an IP address, it could potentially impact many users if our account is NATing our IPs to one external IP.
Typically this is caused by an end user saving a bad set of credentials into some kind of client (FTP or WebDAV) that is constantly trying to reconnect.
2 votesThis request makes sense, but this is not something that is planned for the foreseeable future.
I will keep monitoring similar cases and prioritize once this becomes a high value request.

PFX files contain both the public certificate and private key. We only plan to check public certificates, which can be separated from the PFX by installing and exporting as .cer: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/403174/convert-pfx-to-cer

Because Watermarking is built as an enterprise-wide feature, we don’t currently plan to limit access to it to only certain users as this would be antithetical to how we do enterprise features as a whole in the product.
If we decide to add the ability to limit folder settings to certain levels of users, then I could see us changing watermarking to fit that pattern.

Open Shared Link Controls: Prevent Open Shared Folder Links without Disabling Company Folder Shared Links
Right now you can't disable Open folder links without disabling Company folder links. The native Box setting for this is too restrictive (prevents sharing folders internally other than via collaboration).
18 votesWe are currently focussed on bulk operations with managing Shared links.

Enable "Login with Box Account" Functionality similar to Twitter & Google Accounts
Add the ability to enable their users to log in with their Box account by providing a button alongside the Google and Twitter buttons within our application.
While it is true that this can be done with standard OAuth, it is a bit awkward and clunky so isn't a great developer or user experience. We are looking for something similar to the SDK and tools offered by companies like Google.

New Permission Type (Edit without User Download)
It is not possible to allow a user to open in Office Online (or other apps) without the user also being able to download. Because Office Online relies on the permissions granted to the user to execute, i.e. it uses the user permission to download to get the file from Box, therefore the user must have the ability to download.

Virus Scan Alert on virus-found should send to co-admin as well
Since the Box administrator account is not tied to any IT member, it is very impractical for us to review the emails this account receives.
Thus, we would like to request such emails to be sent to co-admins as well.
0 votesAs an alternative to the email sent to the admin, virus scan alerts are logged in the Box Events API.
FILE_MARKED_MALICIOUS event that indicates a virus is found on a file in Box.
