Show progress bar for uploads when using file request widget
We would like for the File Request Widget to have a progress bar for uploads, so users can see if their upload made it to Box or if it failed.

File Request link upload notification
We want a feature of email notification which send to the actual user who uploaded the file.
I understand that if "require users to provide email" option is enabled, users can confirm the uploader's email address on web app. I found that the email address was shown in “Updated” column.
However, users cannot confirm the actual uploader from the report, and email notifications will only be sent to users who enabled notification settings of "upload" in their folder settings or account settings.
Enabling the above feature makes it much easier to confirm if the user successfully uploaded the file.
8 votesUsers can now use the send notification outcome as part of a relay + file request workflow.

Either/Or Approvers
Currently Relay does not support "either/or" approvers.
We have use cases where we have multiple approvers in a process but only need a certain amount of approvers to continue the workflow. i.e. There are 3 approvers in a process but we only need 2 out of the 3 to approve.

manage metadata in Relay for both file and folder
In Relay when You need to manage metadata the only possibility is on file.
Why not on folder?
The most suitable way is to have the possibility to manage for BOTH.17 votesHello All,
Previously, Box customers were able to apply metadata templates and update metadata values automatically on files, as part of Relay outcome.
However, they were not able to do the same for folders, which limited their ability to leverage metadata for enhancing their search, information management and business process automation.
We have now released the ability to add metadata templates and update metadata on folders automatically in Relay outcomes. This enables customers to apply metadata at scale automatically or as part of automating their business process, and not have to do it a a separate step outside the workflow.
A new ‘Folder Action’ option is now available in the ‘Metadata’ outcome in the Relay builder.
For more information, see the "Metadata outcome options' section of this article - Understanding Triggers and Outcomes in RelayThanks,

Start a Relay workflow manually (Manual Start)
In the Relay Classic system I could start a workflow manually by opening Relay Classic, choosing my template and then starting the workflow. Now, workflows must be triggered by a folder or file action. I don't want this as we have Financial Advisors in the firm utilizing Box that are segregated from each other (each FA can't have access to the other FA's client files...). They'll all need to start the same workflow, but if I have one central folder that is the trigger folder for the workflow, they can easily access each other's client files that are dropped there.…

File Request Link should be modified by Admin or Co-admin
Currently, only file request link creator can delete the created link. But, it should be controlled by at least Admin/Co-admin as a security stand point of view.
4 votesIt is possible to delete File Request links from the admin console. Please see the link below for more details.

Date-based recurring workflow triggers
Relay is great for workflows that occur because a human remembered to perform an action, but we run into issues if the human in question does not remember to start their part. For example, we have a workflow that starts with a staff member downloading a vendor invoice each month, auditing it, then uploading it to our accounting team. That starts a workflow where the accounting team reviews and approves for payment, then an auditor confirms the approval, and the payment is funded. Well, it all falls apart if the person who can download that invoice doesn't respond to a…

Customize notifications (frequency and timing) for tasks on Relay workflows
A key piece of any ECM system is being able to control when and how often a user is notified about a task based on the severity of the workflow. If an approval is required for a mission critical business process that is time sensitive then the creators of the workflow need to be able to create urgency with the notifications in Relay. If this workflow is low priority and they don't want to "cry wolf" then they should be able to customize that it is low priority and maybe on need to be notified once a week etc.
3 votesWith scheduled workflows, you can now schedule a workflow that has a send notification outcome.

Add uploader role to box relay auto-start workflows
When you auto-start based on someone uploading or saving to a directory, that workflow should take into account the person who did that - the uploader role. For instance, in a workflow that has a gather feedback and incorporate step, that should be automatically assigned to the uploader not the workflow owner. In general the workflow owner is not a very useful role - it's just the person who happened to write the template - the workflow owner may have no stake in the workflow instances whatsoever. The uploader is a natural role that is missing.
8 votesWe released the ability to assign any task to the “workflow starter”, the person who performed the file action.

Allow concurrent workflow steps
Currently, if a step in a user's workflow needs to get a response from multiple parties concurrently, this is not possible. For example, sending out marketing materials to multiple agencies at the same time and waiting for a response from all. At the moment, we would have to make this sequential whereby the second agency would receive a task only when the first agency has completed one.

Color code folders when selecting a destination folder
Right now when you select a destination folder as the last step it doesn't color code external folders (grey) so the end user could accidentally send the document in another instance.

Improve search and filtering in Templates view
We have many many templates and it's hard to find my own! It would be most beneficial to include some sort of "metadata search" - like search by owner, in fact (most obvious use case).
2 votesReleased the revamp of the templates page so that you can find the template you own easier. We will do more searching and filtering later in the year. If that is as important, please submit a new ticket! Thank you!
