When I search documents looking for the document TITLE only, files with the text inside the document also show up in search. Can a title only pulldown be added?3 votes
This is available today in the WebApp. Go to “search within” and then select “file and folder names”.
Would like the ability to narrow searches by excluding certain terms. Google permits this by allowing users to type the minus symbol in front of terms to be excluded.4 votes
Hi, this feature is available today. For an example, see this page: https://support.box.com/hc/en-us/articles/360043696314-Search-for-Files-Folders-and-Content.
Instead of doing a new search each time, it would be great to be able to save a search and run it at any time with one click. That search could appear in your All Files view as a Search Folder (e.g., named "New PDFs re XYZ") and when you click the folder it runs the search; or as a saved search accessible on the left menu.8 votes
Hi, it is currently possible to save a search by using the URL. See https://support.box.com/hc/en-us/articles/360043696314-Search-for-Files-Folders-and-Content for instructions on how to save a search and bookmark it.
Would love to have boolean search support for both the web and Drive. If anything, an functional wildcard would be extremely useful.5 votes
Hi, we currently support the boolean operators AND, OR, and NOT. We support prefix matching on titles. You can find more information here: https://support.box.com/hc/en-us/articles/360043696314-Search-for-Files-Folders-and-Content.
