Create changes to workflow builder functionality:
1. Allow folder Editors to be able to build workflows (we have very few co-admins)
2. Allow the workflow builder to specify who is assigning the task (or make it generic.) Just because Bob builds the workflow doesn't mean his name should be on the assigning task.23 votes
Thanks for your feedback!
1. Editors are now able to build workflows (delivered in Q1)
2. We’ll certainly investigate the task assignee feedback in future feature updates as well, thanks!
In Box Shield Smart Access, if moved from Folder A, which is assigned the [In-House] classification, to Folder B, which is assigned the [Public] classification, Folder A's classification will be inherited.
However, the classification of [In-house] in folder A is not inherited when the copy operation is performed, the [Public] classification assigned to folder B is assigned.
Since the classification is not inherited by the copy operation, this function can be useful to prevent information leakage by implementing this function.3 votes
Create the file request link for each doctor's portal page In Japan, the power balance of doctors and pharms are quite unique, and doctors are considered very high class and it is very hard for pharm to ask the doctor to create the box account. So pharm generally creates portal sites for doctors and they wants to create the links and embed to the pages. Create the file request link for each events Pharm host some conferences and they need to gather the documents and videos from doctor and other organization(like university and etc...). And also they are going to create the portal sites for each events. So they want to create the file request links for each events and embed the link to events page.

Instead of doing a new search each time, it would be great to be able to save a search and run it at any time with one click. That search could appear in your All Files view as a Search Folder (e.g., named "New PDFs re XYZ") and when you click the folder it runs the search; or as a saved search accessible on the left menu.5 votes
Hi, it is currently possible to save a search by using the URL. See https://support.box.com/hc/en-us/articles/360043696314-Search-for-Files-Folders-and-Content for instructions on how to save a search and bookmark it.
I HAVE JUST SPENT HALF AN HOUR TO FIND THE BOX DRIVE TO DOWNLOAD AND ALL I DID FIND IS ARTICLES OF HELP BUT THE ACTUAL LINK TO THE DOWNLOAAN
MAKE IT POSSIBLE FOR USERS TO LOCATE THE DRIVE AND DOWNLOAD IT I HAVE SPENT A HALF HOUR AND STILL HAVE NOT FOUND THE BOX DRIVE DOWNLOAD PLACE IN THE WEBSITE WHICH ONLY OFFERS ME ARTICLES ABOUT IT BUT NOT THE WAY TO DOWNLOAD IT1 vote
Sorry to hear about the navigation issue! Please see here to download Box Drive: https://www.box.com/resources/downloads/drive
Would love to have boolean search support for both the web and Drive. If anything, an functional wildcard would be extremely useful.4 votes
Hi, we currently support the boolean operators AND, OR, and NOT. We support prefix matching on titles. You can find more information here: https://support.box.com/hc/en-us/articles/360043696314-Search-for-Files-Folders-and-Content.
We would like you to provide a way in the developer console to remove the download permission from our application.
We are worried about leaking access tokens.
Our application needs Box administrator privileges. Then change the folder name or delete the collaborator.
However, it does not access the content of files in box.2 votes
After obtaining a token, you can downscope it to obtain one with a more limited set of scopes. While your parent token will still have the full scope, you can generate and use the lower-privileged tokens in your application logic. Refer to this page for details https://developer.box.com/guides/authentication/access-tokens/downscope/
Currently Relay can copy a file or a folder, but not all the contents of a folder to a location. This would be really useful for content propagation, where the use case would be that every time a folder is created copy the content of a template to it.7 votes
This is possible today with the “copy folder” outcome.
We have external approvers and one of them should be able to advance this workflow.3 votes
We would like the ability to better manage templates of existing content so that he can very easily replicate a folder structure within Box for ongoing projects.14 votes
Thanks for your feedback! It is possible to automate the creation of a folder structure in Box Relay today by using a combination of the Create Folder and Copy File outcomes
When relay creates a folder or file, we want relay to guide user to name the folder or file as a flow.1 vote
You could solve this today by assigning a task to the user to name the file.
When You build a flow in relay, You don't have the possibility to add another event into this same flow as a result. This might help if You need to repeat a part of the flow (similar as a loop).3 votes
This is a feature that is available for paid Relay customers
We have Excel files that reference each other that we moved from local drives to Box Drive. The links change to whatever box folder we move them to, but the path is listed as "C:\users\username\filename"... etc. We need these links to reference the actual Box URL so that other people who have access to the file can still get the updated reference.45 votes
The Box Drive folder can now be placed in a ‘general’ location outside of C:\users\username. This should resolve your issue. More information can be found here: https://community.box.com/t5/Deploying-Managing-Box-Drive/Configuring-the-Default-Box-Drive-Folder-Location/ta-p/66248
would like to be able to set a legal hold on multiple users (400 users) in one operation. The reason behind why is that “it would be a huge time saver for organizations that have lots of users to be able to add them all to a legal hold or other governance policy at once rather than one at a time. If there were a master distribution group such as “all users” that could be used instead of having to start typing each user’s name one by one that would do the trick.”1 vote
It would be a game changer if Box added in the ability to print documents directly from the preview view while using the browser version of Box. It is very time consuming and labor intensive to have to open each document in their native application to print them. If we could instead print documents directly from the preview mode in the browser, it would make things much easier.3 votes
This is an existing feature. You can clicl on … button and click print
I made a scenario with relay and I would like to use it into another instead of creating again and again same flows. So it would be nice to get the possibility to combine different scenarios as sub-scenarios (like procedures in a program).2 votes
As part of paid Relay, you can set various metadata values to trigger different aspects of the process.
Hi, currently in order to find a box user id for ONE user, we need to use
to get ALL users and then filter for the specific user.
If would be nice if we can simply query a user's box user id by the username.1 vote
There is an optional parameter called `filter_term` which can be used to retrieve a user on the basis of the name or login. See link below and a snippet from the dev docs.
Limits the results to only users who’s name or login start with the search term.
For externally managed users, the search term needs to completely match the in order to find the user, and it will only return one user at a time.
Alternatively, get added to the citrix virtual computer to your account.3 votes
Box Sync has support for persistent VDI environments only. See here for more information: https://community.box.com/t5/How-to-Guides-for-Account/Using-Box-In-Virtual-Environments/ta-p/1254
Create an API endpoint that returns information from status.box.com, so that customers can access this information programmatically.5 votes
It is possible to automate the process of listening for changes at status.box.com including for the API component. See https://support.atlassian.com/statuspage/docs/enable-webhook-notifications/
Our organization utilizes the collaboration with external users to give them access to view one specific folder relative to their client account. We do not want these users to have access to our main folder that houses the original documents for their client account, but rather only this one specific folder that has a copy of selected documents relative to their positions on the Board. Right now, we have to manually upload or delete new documents to both folders. If there is a change to our original document, we have to manually upload the new version to the copy folder for the Board to be able to view it. This requires extra unnecessary work. We would love to have the ability to either mirror entire sub folders or documents into another location that would automatically update with any changes.

Hello, if we understand your request correctly, you could use the bookmark feature to bookmark a link to specific files so the Board will always be routed to the up-to-date version of the original document but not be able to view the rest of the items in the main folder.
