AI chat history should be saved
Any AI chat history, whether on a document(s) or in a Hub, is not saved in the same way other AI platforms do (ex, ChatGPT, Google Gemini, CoPilot, Perplexity, etc.). Retaining the chat history will improve efficiency in future conversations and improve personalization. This seems to be the biggest flaw/miss in the rollout of Box AI.

New shortcuts to AI in Box Notes
A new shortcut for Box AI for Box Notes has been released to display the AI prompt field when you enter a space at the beginning of a line in Box Notes.
https://support.box.com/hc/en-us/articles/42854740437011-New-shortcuts-to-AI-in-Box-Notes
I often type a space at the beginning of a line to lower a paragraph, and I had to clear the AI prompt field each time.
It is a small thing, but it is troublesome, so I would like you to change the specification.
Idea 1: Add configuration items to disable shortcuts in the admin console, registry, etc.
Idea 2: Change the shortcut to something else instead…21 votesHi. This feature is delivered. Please let us know your feedback to product team - okryvtsova@box.com

We would like to be able to see the indexing status of content added to Box Hubs.
Currently, it is difficult to know when content added to a Hub becomes available for insights via Box AI,
and therefore hard to verify the accuracy of AI responses. Please display a status indicator showing whether content has been indexed.
Box Hubsに追加したコンテンツがインデックス化されているかステータスで分かるようにして欲しい
Hubに追加したコンテンツがBox AIでインサイトを取得できるようになるタイミングが分からず、AIの回答精度を確認するのが難しいです。

MCP
I would like to input content directly from Claude Code into sources like Box Notes, but currently, I have no choice but to upload them as txt or md files, which cannot be edited within the Box Web Application.
Since txt and md files cannot be edited directly on Box, I have to download them to my local machine and re-upload them every time I make an edit, which makes sharing and updating files extremely inconvenient.
I understand that Office or Google files cannot be edited directly via MCP, but I would like to be able to edit Box-native content,…
1 voteWe're happy to share that the binary file upload/download has been release - the actual availability depends on the MCP Clients sandbox and external access. More on that here: https://docs.box.com/en/box-mcp/tools#upload-and-download-url-tools

Enhance Box AI Responses to Include Clickable Hyperlinks
When Box AI references or cites a document containing a hyperlink, the main text of the response currently displays the hyperlink as plain text. To improve usability and streamline navigation, Box AI should format these hyperlinks as clickable links.
This enhancement would significantly improve the user experience by enabling direct access to the referenced content.

Want to be able to specify the number of times each user uses BoxAI
Want to be able to specify the number of times each user uses BoxAI
Box AI can currently limit the number of users who use it, but it is not possible to limit the number of times it can be used.
This is very inconvenient. I would like to be able to specify users who can only use Box AI up to 20 times, or specify users who can use Box AI more than 20 times.BoxAI
44 votesAdmin now has the ability to download the AI Unit report to see per user per day

hyperlink source from AI in Hubs
When you ask a question in a Hub, the sources cited are just in plain text. The ask is that the sources would be hyperlinked instead.

Saving prompt/response history
Currently, prompts and responses are lost after leaving a document (or Hub) window. It is critical to be able to refer back to past prompts and responses, especially when working with multiple documents, or when you need to reset the context window for a future prompt.

Having AI review multiple documents
It would be really great if you could do requests that span over multiple documents, including types varying types of documents in one file (doc and jpg, etc). For example, think about prompts such as “Compare the employee position description in document one to the action items in document two and give me ideas on relevant training and performance indicators.”

Easily reset the context window
While you remain in the "chat," it appears from our testing that the prior prompts and responses remain in the context window and are used in formulating later responses, which may or may not be desired capability.
Sometimes you need to start fresh, and currently the way to do this appears to be to close the document window or Hub, losing your history.
It would be nice to be able to start a new chat, ignoring/resetting prior context, with a click.2 votes -
Box AI for Slack:Box AI-related shortcuts in the Box for Slack integration app
I would like to be able to delete Box AI related shortcuts for the Box for Slack linked app.
I would like this function to be provided as a separate app as Box AI for Slack.Box for Slack連携アプリのBox AI関連ショートカットを削除できるようにして欲しい。
当該機能はBox AI for Slackとして別アプリとして提供する形として欲しい。3 votes
