   This feature is not currently planned, but it is a second-priority item for our team. A related feature—the ability to open a file in Box Drive from the web app—is on our roadmap and will be an initial step toward supporting this request.    "Not planned" isn't at all helpful and doesn't reflect real-world working practices. A shared Box link in a Windows environment requires opening in a browser and subsequent sign in which might also include 2FA. Maintaining an online, unsecured set of Box folders is not good practice. The Box app performs this task perfectly well so why not Windows?
