    There’s an ongoing private beta for external drive support on macOS. We’ll share more details as progress is made.


    For the other request: with Box Drive on Windows, you can mark files and folders for offline use, and that content will be downloaded to your device. Starting with Box Drive for Windows v4.27, even if you quit Box Drive, all downloaded content remains available on disk and can be opened and edited.

    This would be a super helpful feature and would give me and my clients a better sense of security. If anything where to happen to my box drive (i.e. files I do not currently have synched), my business would be negatively impacted in major ways.
