This is a very niche use case that could help customers, but also negatively impact other customers.
I would like to better understand the root problem before adding complexity to the product.

If I am understanding the request, then it might match my use case.
When using FTP upload we sometimes get duplicate folders (with the same name) appearing, sometimes empty sometimes with a subset of the files split between them. I am assuming it is related to doing multiple uploads simultaneously but what that leaves us with is two folders each containing half of the files they should have.
When you try to 'move' one folder to the other you get an error back as there is a name conflict, and because these folders also contain subfolders (which also have the same problem) I have a big giant nest of duplicated folder names that just needs consolidating. Box Support said there was no way to resolve this currently so the only solution I have is to basically sync the entire folder and use something else to do it.
