    Thanks for the suggestion! Though I see how useful additional sorting on the Collaborators page would be, due to various technical constraints we don’t currently plan to implement this functionality.

    In my opinion, having the ability to Sort the collaborators list is something that should have been implemented a long time ago!! I am surprised that it is not already a feature since nearly every other screen has sorting capabilities.

    With this enhancement our focus is to provide users with the visibility into the file state. It will cover automatic file locking/unlocking and providing notifications when others have the file locked. This functionality will be scoped to only specific applications, with our main priority being the MSFT Office apps first (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Stay tuned!

    Another feature that would help would be to implement something in Box Drive that is similar to what happens when you open a file in the Web App. If you open a file from the Box Web App, you are asked if you want to lock the file. If Box Drive could do the same and then provide an easy button for locking the file, users would be more likely to lock files than if they have to remember to right-click the file and lock it first before opening it.
