Set specific expiration dates on the different types of shared links.
You can do it for all in one option but not specifically on one type of shared links. Example just "People with this link"

This is not currently on the near-term roadmap.

Query-less search
Add intelligent search by location, date, etc. but the Search API requires a query. I recommended setting the query to the file extension.

Rsync-like upload of file differences
Sync differentials, not the entire file. This is similar to Rsync functionality.

Add "type" filters from Web App to search API endpoint
Currently Box supports passing in document extensions, or searching by item type (file, folder). Please add the same filter options that is exposed in the web app search to developers. Specifically, the "type" dropdown that includes items like:
[document, audio, box note, drawing, etc.]The workaround is for the developer to create their own set of these filters - but this can be challenging based on the number of filetypes and desire to keep experience the same with search in their app as compared to the web app.

Using groups will allow adding more collaborators to a folder and is our recommended approach for these types of situations.

This is not currently planned. We would be happy to review with additional use case data. Can you share the problem you’re trying to solve?

Customization of error message in Azure
With other providers, it is possible to customize the error message that users get when they are invited to create a Box account without being part of a security group and having auto-rolling on.
As the error message creates a lot of confusion, it would be great if we could replace the message with something customized in order to give clear instructions to the users as to what steps need to be taken to create a new Box account with that particular email domain.
0 votesThank you for your submission. However, this does not have enough demand in order to be prioritized.
We will reconsider with additional use cases.

Editor Only Permissions Access
We are looking for a way to limit a user so she can not add new documents to a folder but is able to edit documents already in the folder.
The granular nature of your platform is so fantastic, and this nuance would make it even better. After all, just because I share a folder populated with documents that I want edited by other people doesn't not mean I want those same editors to bloat my folders with extraneous files.
There is strong use-case for this. Call it the Edit Only privilege.
0 votesThank you for the request! I believe this would add to the complexity of the product without providing wide enough benefit. I’m happy to review further use cases and demand in the comments.

Ability to restrict Uploader permissions from being able to see file names in folders
We have folders where different companies can submit content via the Uploader collaborator permission. Because there are different companies submitting into the same folder, we do not want collaborators to see what others have uploaded.
This is not a virtual deal room/bid room in this specific case.
0 votesWe will not make a special collaborator role for this. Our recommended way of doing this would be to use the Upload Widget.

We would like to see additional detail and use cases before considering this for implementation.

Error message to transfer ownership when only admins are allowed to create or delete level 1 folders
With the option to restrict folder creation at level 1 to admin, if the admin give the ownership to a user and then this user try to give the ownership to another user, she can perform the actions and finally get the message "There was a problem making xxx the owner of the item. Please try again or refresh the page."
The message should be revamped or the user should not be able to start giving ownership.
