Support new High Efficiency Image Format (HEIF) in Box Preview (Desktop/Mobile)
In iOS 11 Apple has changed the default camera image format from JPEG to HEIF. So, if you have an iPhone 7/8 your photos are now in a *.heic files and not *.jpg. If you try to upload a HEIC file to Box you will not be able to preview the file. Same goes for mobile. We want the ability to preview these images in Box
20 votesBox Preview now supports the HEIC file type format.
See https://community.box.com/t5/Managing-Your-Content/What-file-types-are-supported-by-Box-s-Content-Preview/ta-p/327 For more information on our supported file types for Preview.

"Make Current" and "Remove" action options on version history should be removed for certain permission levels
Certain options show up in the Version History modal even though clicking them leads to a generic red "Server Error" banner (since they don't have permissions to do it). This leads to user confusion - why is there an error? Why is this action even here if I shouldn't be allowed to do it?
Observed behavior (reproduced from user):
Viewer Uploader
-can currently see all three options (Download, Make Current, Remove)
-"Remove" option gives a Server Error (option should just be removed entirely)Viewer
-can currently see all three options
-"Make Current" or "Remove" options give Server Errors (options should…1 voteI’m happy to report that we have now launched this improvement to the Version History pop-up experience.

Folder-Level Activity Reporting: Ability to Report on Activity and Access Stats at the Folder Level
Add an 'export' option available for folder Owners & Co-Owners to export various items at the folder level (meaning in the webapp - not the Admin Console) for
--Activity (uploads, download, moves, previews, create shared link, invite collaborators, etc.) in the folder
--Collaborations

Make the Web App WCAG2 Level AA Compliant (eliminate need for a.box separate site)
The current Box Web is not WCAG 2.0 Level AAA compliant currently, meaning users who require accessibility support need to use a.box. This is a subpar solution given that a.box is based on m.box which is missing large amounts of functionality that the full Web App provides.
1 voteBox Web App conforms to WCAG 2.0 Level AA.

Ability to Annotate / Markup Files (documents, images, etc.)

Allow Searching by Last Name - Invite Collaborators / Email Shared Link / Comment @Mentions
In the Invite Collaborators modal (and other locations such as the Comment composer), Box's autocomplete feature only allows the user to search by either email address and/or first AND last name.
Meaning for user John Doe with email jdoe@box.com, a search for...
--"John D" will populate correctly
--"jdoe" will populate correctly
--"Doe" will NOT populate correctlyREQUEST: Allow searching by last name (without having to enter first name before).
22 votesThank you for submitting this request. We’re pleased to announce that we have added support for searching by last name and email address when sharing from the Box web application. We hope to expand this functionality to our comments support in a future release.

Show Exact Timestamp for Comments (Instead of 'X Months Ago')
Make new Web App comment timestamps exact, just like they were in Legacy.
11 votesWe’ve updated the timestamps shown in the Activity sidebar of Amsterdam for Comments and Tasks such that they now show a more logical mix of exact and relative dates. Additionally, you can always hover over a timestamp to see a tooltip with the full day/date/time for any entry.

Visual Indicator on Folders with External Collaborators
Currently, when a folder has external collaborators in it, we show a small globe icon for that collaborator in the Collaborators list (sidebar + full collabs page), but no other visual indicator at the folder level.
Often, users want to quickly know "is this folder shared with anyone external/outside my company?" without having to manually comb through the full list of collaborators.
REQUEST: Add a visual indicator (either folder color, icon, 'tag'/label, etc.) at the folder level (visible from within the folder and possibly from the files list as a badge) to indicate when a folder has external collaborators in…

Show Current Folder Location (Instead of Top of 'All Files') as Default in the 'Move / Copy' Modal
In the former Web App UI, the Move / Copy pop-up (modal) always started off in the current location within the user's folder tree. In the new UI, this behavior was changed to always start the Move / Copy modal off at the top of the user's All Files list - no longer auto-navigating to the current location where the Move / Copy is originating from. REQUEST: Revert this change as it is now relatively challenging to move an item between subfolders in a given folder tree.

Access Stats: Ability to 'export' on a per-file basis
Provide an 'export' button in the Access Stats modal (pop-up), allowing folder Editors, Co-Owners, and Owners to export a .xlsx file containing all preview/download entries for the file (not limited to the 50 most recent).
33 votesThis feature (the ability to ‘Export’ Access Stats at the file-level) was launched in April 2018. View this Community article for more information.

Auto-Hide Password Field on Login Page ('Smart SSO')
The Box standard (non-custom branded) login page (account.box.com) does not automatically remove the password field if the email entered is in an EID with SSO Required.
This means that users are often presented a password field that they don't even need to fill in, and they often have never even created a Box password, so they end up putting their SSO password into the field, then just have to enter it again when redirected to their SSO / IdP login page.
