1. Box Drive performance improvement request when using VDI

   The VDI is experiencing operational delays when using Box Drive, and this is affecting our business.
   It was found that the delay was caused by a large number of disk I/Os.
   We checked the Box Drive logs and found that Box was reflecting 1,000 to 2,000 operation logs on Box to each user every morning.
   Since the above operations occur simultaneously for all users, there is a large load on the infrastructure.
   Please improve performance.

   Box Drive利用時のVDIで操作遅延が発生しており業務影響が出ております。
   操作遅延の要因としては多数のディスクI/Oによって発生していることが判明しており、
   Box Driveのログを確認した所、Boxから毎朝1000～2000のBox上での操作ログを各ユーザーへ反映されていました。
   上記操作が全てのユーザで同時に発生する為、インフラストラクチャに大きな負荷が掛かっています。
   性能改善をお願いします。

2. Unify move and copy behavior between BoxDrive and the Web browser.

   There is a detrimental effect caused by the fact that BoxDrive and the Web browser have different specifications for the operation of "move and copy," which is a basic operation of Box (it is actually upload and download).
   In particular, the fact that Shield's Access Policy and Classification Labels "maintain the original labels when moved and copied" is a major reason to use that feature.
   However, BoxDrive does not maintain labels, which does not lead to enhanced security or control of usage.
   Since there are many users who use BoxDrive as their main application, we would like to see the behavior unified with the web browser.

   BoxDriveとWebブラウザで、Boxの基本操作である「移動・コピー」の動作仕様が異なる（実際はアップロード・ダウンロードになる）ことによる弊害がある。
   特に、Shieldのアクセスポリシー・分類ラベルにて「移動とコピーをしても元のラベルが維持される」ことは、それを採用する大きな理由であるのに、BoxDriveではラベルは維持されず、セキュリティ強化・利用方法の統制につながらない。
   BoxDriveをメインとして利用しているユーザーが多数存在しているため、Webブラウザと動作を統一するようにしてほしい。

3. I would like shortcut files created on Box Drive to be reflected on Box Web as well.

   I am aware that shortcut files (.lnk) created in Box Drive (on Explorer) are ignored as a file type and cannot be synchronized.
   However, in my work, I use Box Drive a lot and sometimes create shortcuts, but I can't share them because they are not synced, and they are deleted when I log out of the system.
   I feel this kind of specification is very inconvenient.
   I would love to see you respond to make this happen.

   無視されるファイルの種類として対象となっており同期が出来ないことは認識してます。
   しかしながら業務上、Box Driveの利用が多くショートカットの作成することがありますが、

4. Box Drive specification improvement request

   Box Drive is downloading a large amount of event streams, which can overwhelm company's network bandwidth. Due to the network bandwidth pressure, the business other than Box has been affected, so please take measures.
   Here are the details:

   Box Drive is likely retrieving folder and file events that the logged-in user has access to, but is aware that there may be a large number of event downloads in the following cases, for example:.
   ・A specific user performs bulk operations on a folder in which many users are collaborating. (All events are downloaded to Box Drives of all collaboration users)

   In addition, Box Drive receives information on all events that occurred during the stoppage at the next startup of Box Drive, so if you stop your PC at the end of work, all events that occurred during the stoppage will be downloaded when your PC starts up (Box Drive starts up) the next morning.
   Because the start time is almost the same for all users, the communication load increases rapidly at that time, causing problems. Due to the problem of this Box Drive, business other than Box has been affected, so please urgently improve it.

5. Add configuration option to hide the right-hand sidebar automatically

   When a file is opened, the right-hand sidebar is open by default. My preference is to have it closed, so I must close it each time. Please add a configuration option that would allow for users to set that sidebar closed at startup by default.

6. Box Drive: Display pop up warning when copy / move large number of items

   Just like below warning pop-up displayed in WebApp, Box Drive shall pop up a warning to let the user know when large number of files / folders are going to be copied / moved.  (also to prevent accidental copies / moves)

7. Ability in Box Drive to have documents physically stored on PC or external driver

   In Box Drive it would be good that the documents are physically on our PC in offline mode, not just a memory copy (metadata).
