    Thank you for the suggestion. Box currently offers the ability to lock folders using the folder lock API - https://developer.box.com/reference/post-folder-locks/


    We do not have a feature on our roadmap to expose this functionality from Box Drive. We will place this in our backlog as we continue evaluating ideas to improve Box Drive.

    Please keep the feedback & use cases coming to help us prioritize this in the future!

    I also just experienced this exact problem. So I support and would appreciate this solution. Additionally, to simply have a warning to highlight that the folder being moved containers many thousands of files - it would at least trigger the person to think first. I note this feature is available in the web version, but not Box Drive.
