We don’t have any plans at this time to change the API for group collaborations. Please add additional comments if this is a blocking issue.

Users cannot add groups to folders via the API like they can in the UI without special 'manage groups' scope, which is essentially an admin scope. One direct impact with this is that it prevents our mobile app from having invite parity with our web app

We have released the ability to search over Metadata multi select fields on the web. Here is a link to the community post: https://support.box.com/hc/en-us/articles/360057067553-Search-Metadata-multi-select-fields. You can also search over such fields using the API: https://developer.box.com/reference/get-search/#param-mdfilters.

Documents uploaded/updated with MD multi select fields from this point going forward will be searchable via that field. Previously uploaded documents with MD multi-select fields will soon be searchable via those fields (backfill is in progress).

    Allow a metadata-based search to
    - pass multiple enum (drop down) options
    - support exact-match in metadata text fields

We have addressed whitelist management for JWT apps and OAuth app support is coming soon.

Separately, we plan to support the dev / prod / QA process with Sandboxes in a much better way. More details soon.

There are 2 key topics here:

    1. WHITELIST MANAGEMENT: If unpublished apps are disabled by default, admins must a) know the API key to enter, then b) paste that API key into the exemption field, then c) somehow keep track of which API key belongs to which app as there's no way to tell in the product.

REQUEST: Make the unpublished app API key section much more similar to the Custom Applications section that already exists where the UI tells you which app it is once you add an API key.

    2. VISIBILITY: Currently, we don't provide admins any visibility to see which applications have been created by their managed users. A side effect of this is that if companies have the 'disable unpublished apps by default' setting enabled (see above), users must manually copy/paste their API key to the admin in order for it to get whitelisted.

REQUEST: Add an 'applications created by your Managed Users' section to the Admin Console Enterprise Settings -> Apps page to a) give admins visibility into the applications created by their users and b) provide an easier way to add these unpublished applications to the whitelist.

Box has some programmatic (and therefore not practical) ways to monitor for folder ownership changes that result in a folder being owned by another user/enterprise, but there is no way to BLOCK that activity.
