    This feature is not currently planned, but it is a second-priority item for our team. A related feature—the ability to open a file in Box Drive from the web app—is on our roadmap and will be an initial step toward supporting this request.     How is this functionality not a part of this product? Our team is constantly wrangling over which way to refer to files in Box. Copy the URL, use the 'share' link, use the folder path. Having translation between all of these would end the problem immediately.
