This is especially true because I used folder redirection so any files on my Desktop, Videos, or Pictures folders would get backed up via Box sync.

    C:\Users\username\Box Sync\LaptopSyncedFiles\Desktop
    C:\Users\username\Box Sync\LaptopSyncedFiles\Documents
    C:\Users\username\Box Sync\LaptopSyncedFiles\Pictures
    C:\Users\username\Box Sync\LaptopSyncedFiles\Videos

Upon a reinstall I'm informed I must delete the old C:\Users\username\Box Sync\ folder and re-download everything. Since those are Windows OS folders I cannot just delete them nor do I want to have to redownload all my data again.

If Box Drive supported folder redirection that would have been nice.

I had to use folder redirection because some software always stores things in username\Videos which was never in my Box Sync folder.

This would save me over 60GB of re-downloading.

There is a support article for doing this, but beware if you ever uninstall and reinstall Sync that it will force you to download everything all over again.
