Ability to set a legal hold on multiple users in one operation
would like to be able to set a legal hold on multiple users (400 users) in one operation. The reason behind why is that “it would be a huge time saver for organizations that have lots of users to be able to add them all to a legal hold or other governance policy at once rather than one at a time. If there were a master distribution group such as “all users” that could be used instead of having to start typing each user’s name one by one that would do the trick.”

Ability to apply Retention Policy retroactively to Trash
The trash folder retention policy was enabled after the implementation of Governance.
Files in the trash show a deletion date if it was deleted after Governance was implemented.

Will these files be deleted? If not, how do we add these files to the 60 day retention policy?
1 voteThis can be accomplished by setting a retention policy on the original parent folder of the folder in the trash.

Apply File-Based Policies via API
Having retention policies at the file level (even if only available via API) would make integrations simpler when retention logic is coming from external sources (i.e., other systems).
Providing this functionality would allow for more elaborate use cases. For example, if a classified document is uploaded and identified, it can be automatically retained for a set period of time.
Folder-based retention for everything, as it leads to over-retention of content. In an ideal process, for example, when a document is switched from Draft to Final, the retention policy would be applied to the document (and would work for that version…
