This feature is not currently planned, but it is a second-priority item for our team. A related feature—the ability to open a file in Box Drive from the web app—is on our roadmap and will be an initial step toward supporting this request. This seems like it would be better solved with a search improvement to Box Drive. If not, let us know in the comments.

Glad to see this has already been submitted. This is a killer feature for e.g. contracting teams 3000 folders deep that need to quickly find a folder on their local system after being handed a Box web link. I consider this functionality to be critical givent he nature of our business. Pretty please!
