Support for Spotlight on macOS is out with the release of version 2.53 (https://support.box.com/hc/en-us/articles/53361463306515-Box-Drive-v2-53-Release-Notes).

The request will be left in the "gathering feedback" stage, as Finder/File Explorer search functionality does remain limited.

The Box Drive Search experience is a poor one and it has been around a long time. I had to revert to Box Sync to have the functionality I wanted. If Box is going to prevent search results from showing up in Explorer / Finder searches, then it should build a search function that is equal to or better than what is available in Microsoft Windows.

If I am working on one computer and I use shortcuts, I do not have to copy and paste files and take up unnecessary space. BUt when I use shortcuts, and am working on another computer that has the same synced folder as the folder with the shortcuts, I do not see the shortcuts.

The expectation when working with Box sync is that the user will see the same thing in the Box folder regardless of on what system that Box folder resides. This issue with shortcuts isn't consistent with that expectation. And I have found myself recently being in a tough position because I want to at least know what shortcuts were in the folder but there is no way to tell other than getting in my car, driving to the office and looking. Not a good solution.

I have the same issue. It doesn't seem too complicated to sync shortcuts, and it would be of great benefit to some of us. Please consider enabling this as a new feature.
