Folder Lock from Web UI
Currently, Folder Lock can be configured only through API. We would like to be able to configure it on Web UI, e.g. Folder Settings.
Folder Lock function is very useful, but not used widely. Probably it's because API is not very friendly for some users.81 votesBecause of the downstream impacts, we will not be solving this problem as requested. We will be looking at a more holistic approach to prevent unintended consequences of file operations.

Increase size of left-side menu on Home screen
The left-side menu on the Home screen is too narrow and cuts off the names of folders/files saved under My Collections/Favorites.
Users should be able to set whatever width is needed for the menu.

Dropdown list is overlapped
When there is not enough space for dropdown list to show on direction of bottom, currently it shows on top, but top is not a appropriate choice because maybe there is less space on top of the menu button.

New Web UI and custom logo
In the old UI, you could use any logo in the top left corner of the screen.
We've been given the answer that the only place we can set a logo is in the top right corner of the screen with the new UI.
However, users are used to the logo being in the top left corner and would like to have the option to place it in the top left.21 votesThank you for your feedback! In an effort to modernize our application, we have made significant updates to our Web product to ensure that we improve our user experience while retaining custom branding for customers. Given that this feedback is related to user preference, we will continue to monitor if users continue to feel strongly about this. At this time, we do not plan to change this experience.

Web Interface Search Bug
The web interface won't let you select filters or check boxes from the pop-up menu when searching using Safari. Seems like a bug, as it used to work.

File Request Email Validation
Provide the ability to have the email address provided in a File Request form to be validated either generically to make sure the email is a real address or to require them to authenticate themselves. This is critical for organizations that have strict security and compliance requirements and can't accept the risk of someone getting a hold of the File Request link and uploading malicious content or inundate their folders with nonsense files.
7 votesI suggest customers look into Shield, a newer Box offering that provides malware detection. If turned on, it scans all content uploaded to Box including the ones from file requests (as well as any file when it's active - e.g., on preview, share, edit, copy, etc. events)

Open Link in New Tab
Really wish the right click in the web page navigation allowed me to open the link in a new tab so I didn't have to navigate back to the beginning every time I want to open a new folder.

Allow bulk actions to be interrupted (such as copy/move/restore/delete)
When users copy / move / restore / delete a large number of items, we want them to be able to cancel if they notice a mistake along the way.
Currently, when processing a large number of items in Box, we need to wait until the process is completed even if we notice a mistake.
When processing large numbers of items, processing may require several days.
During that time, folders and files are locked.

login page Customization
The login page is very confusing for our external collaborators. Despite the creation of "How to log on to Box" with pictures, external collaborators still click on the wrong link as the "Continue" button (for our managed users) is very large compare to the small font link for the external collaborators. The natural instinct is to click on "Continue" which gives the external collaborator an error since they are not part of the "managed users" and will not be able to SSO to our Box. Our staff is having to help our external customer on regular basis.

Note that this will not comply with the eBay listing policy either which is quite strict on use of external sources. You’ll simply have to rely on links or some of the ebay specific providers that have developed solutions for this.

Locked Files
It would be REALLY great if there were a way in Box to pull up all of the files you have locked. My team shares tons of excel files all day long. If I forget to unlock a file, no one else knows if they can get in. Half the time I'm not in it but forgot to unlock it. If there were a way to pull up all files at any given time in one place that I've locked where I could unlock them from that screen if I'm no longer in them, it would save us a lot…

Improve ability to see created tags and select tags
Need to be able to see and select tags that we have created. Right now we just have to guess what tags we have. And hope that we're spelling them correctly. Right now this lack of functionality is going to force us to keep looking for a tool to manage assets for a team.

Request for Supporting HTML tags for File Request.
Currently, there is no way to add HTML tags(i.e line break) into the title and instructions for “Customer’s Option” in the File Request
due to the explicitly prevented for security concerns. Since we cannot use line break for instructions, it is hard to read if the customer enter long sentence for the instructions.9 votes -
Dark Mode Option
I think it would be nice to be able to either turn on a Dark Mode when I'm in a browser at Box.com or, have an option to select a different background color.

Lock Entire Folder (and all files and folders underneath)
Product Enhancement Request: In the same way that I can currently lock files, it would be great if I could lock things at the folder level and that lock would apply to all files and subfolders within the main folder.

File Request Link versioning
The new File Request feature is pretty awesome. Only thing is, when you upload a file with the same name, instead of creating it as a version in that folder, it uploads a new copy of that document with a long string of numbers at the end of it. Any word on if this will change in the future to support versioning?

Add "Dimensions" info under "File properties"
To be able to see the dimensions of an image is an extremely valuable feature for designers to review and "QC" all of the marketing assets without having to download all the files.
25 votesThank you for the suggestion. While we definitely understand the value of displaying dimensions for image files, this functionality is not currently planned on our near term roadmap. Please continue to add comments and suggestions here to help us prioritize in the future.

Remember sort order for a folder
Remember the sort order chosen for a folder, whether by date or by name. Some folders will always need to be sorted one way or the other - currently have to re-sort multiple times a day when going back and forth between folders.
