Lock Entire Folder (and all files and folders underneath)
Product Enhancement Request: In the same way that I can currently lock files, it would be great if I could lock things at the folder level and that lock would apply to all files and subfolders within the main folder.

Please disable the co-editing feature.
When multiple people edit the same file simultaneously, the saving process malfunctions, causing the number of files to multiply rapidly.
Furthermore, the final version reflecting the simultaneous edits is not saved correctly; instead, separate files are created—one saved by User A and another by User B—each containing different updates.
I would appreciate it if you could address this issue urgently.共同編集をできないようにしてほしい。
他の方と同じファイルを同時に編集していた場合、保存方法が変になりファイルがどんどん増えていく。
また、同時に編集した最終形態が保存されない。Aの人が保存したファイルとBの人が保存したファイルで更新した内容が異なり保存される。

Be interested in this feature as well. Many times, team shared folders are accidentally moved.

We have a core folder structure setup that we want to be used as a standard template for projects. However, it is too easy to inadvertently change that directory. There is probably a way to do this with permissions, but that is a wonky workaround. When we open a file, we can lock it from other editing. Please just provide that flexibility as a folder and file setting.
And make it a priority soon, that is just a basic file management feature that has been around since Windows 95 at least. -

I had a client requesting to be able to do the Folder Lock API function as one of the functionality inside of Box. It would be great if you can consider this as well.

How can we lock down folder to prevent our employees from deleting and moving files and folders? We need the flexibility when its open but when its closed, we would like to lock down these files/folders.

Please make this a high priority enhancement.
Useful for document control, specifically docs that are "complete" and signed off, or have been presented to a customer and need to retain a permanent copy.
Use case: Admin can copy a file into a "locked folder" which retains as viewable, but un-editable.
