    Instead of “require password” security control, we intend to support “Require OTP” requirement for public links (via SMS, Email, or TOTP). I wanted to share where we are headed. We do not plan on delivering this ask as is, but we do intend to solve the security use case behind it.

    Manual start allows for greater flexibility as it enables users to chose assignees and collaborators at the initiation of their workflow. There is a need for external collaborators to also have the capability to initiate manual starts as Box is often used as a collective repository, in which collaborators outside the organization could also submit request and trigger a workflow. Example of this is when clients have services provided by multiple vendors (external) and one of these vendors would like to kickoff an order or proof approval process that involves actions beyond the capability of the ad-hoc tasks assignment in preview.
