Convert BoxNote to PDF, DOCX, etc...
BoxNotes would be much more useful if there was an ability to able to generate a PDF or other document format that can be stored in a more traditional method in Box. Some customer that work in the regulated space can't use BoxNotes for various reasons. But, in many cases there is an issue with the fact that BoxNotes does not follow the same retention capabilities we have in Governance. Also, Keysafe does not support BoxNotes, so it may be a workaround if BoxNotes were archivable.
The initial idea would be to support PDF generation, but i can also see…
53 votesThank you for the feedback. Although we do not plan to introduce this feature in the near term, we will keep this in consideration for future enhancements.

Add fixed-width font options
Ticket # INC4849532 - Customer wants to use Box Notes to write documents that contain code-snippets and excerpts from logs. They would like to use a fixed-width font for these snippets, but Box Notes doesn't allow them to select font and there's no style for fixed-width.
The issue is the same as the one described in this forum post: https://community.box.com/t5/Web-App-Forum/Boxnote-fixed-width-font/td-p/31194
55 votesThanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately, we are unable to prioritize this in our current roadmap, but will keep this in our radar.

Dark Mode for Box Notes Native App
The Box Notes native app on MacOS needs the Dark Mode option like any other app for MacOS.
35 votesThe MacOS desktop app is being end-of-life
'd in June. As a result, we will not be able to support this request.

Create a hyperlink to a point within the same note
Box Notes are wonderful, but after a certain length, they can become unwieldy to navigate. Other services, including Dropbox, offer the ability to hyperlink to a headlines section (text marked as H1, H2) to create a functional contents segment.
Please could we have the ability to hyperlink within documents, at leas to text tagged as a header

Box Note Unlimited Page Width
Right now, the box notes page width is fixed. This is particularly frustrating when creating tables in a box note that needs more than a few columns.
It would be amazing to have the width of the box notes to be unlimited to allow for tables to have many columns
3 votesHi there – Although we understand the need for unlimited page width, we do not plan to extend our existing full width experience. We will reconsider this experience once we have additional feedback and use cases.

On Box Notes collaboration modal, display more than 5 candidate users when inviting users.
Currently, up to 5 users are displayed on collaboration modal of Box Notes, which is far less than 50 users of webapp. We want Notes to parallel webapp on this.

Remove or filter out particular Box Notes from Inbox without deleting
The Box Notes Inbox contains a long list of items that are shared with me but that I may never access again. I can't remove my collaborations because they are stored within enterprise-owned folders that are shared with the entire company at a high level (e.g. all "Projects" are shared with the entire company in case we need to reference them, but I am not part of the project team for most of them). We would like a way to remove or filter certain Box Notes from the Inbox so it is less cluttered.
17 votesThank you for the feedback. Unfortunately, we are unable to prioritize this against our other priorities at this time.

@'ing box groups in comments
Is there a way to @mention a box user group in the comments section? We have executive team groups of 4-7 people that need tagged in the comments for notifications to approve and discussed projects, but when you are @'ing all 7 it looks a little messy as well as remembering all of those users. Since the email addresses are linked in the box group, would it be possible to @mention that unique group name in the comment and get the same result as @'ing a single user name?
I look forward to hearing your thoughts/feedback.36 votesThank you for your feedback! We believe this feature is important and can provide significant value to the Notes product experience. However, we cannot prioritize this feature in the near term. We will keep this under consideration for our future roadmap.

Box notes client for Linux
Trying to migrate away from One Note to Box notes. Hence need a client that works with Linux. Specifically debian.
94 votesThank you for the feedback. Adding a Box Notes client for Linux it is not aligned with our prioritization for the year, but we will let you know if anything changes.

Ability to remove read-only shared Box Notes
When someone send you a box note link, it's automatically and permanently synced to your account's box notes as read only. Currently, there is no way to remove them, unsync, them, or hide them. This causes synced box notes to be polluted with non-editable documents which serve no purpose other than to add to clutter.

Insert calendar into Box Note
Auto generate calendar in Box notes similar to Dropbox Paper.
25 votesThis is a great feature suggestion, and we plan to add it to the roadmap in the longer term

View folders in Box notes
Right now you see a large collection of recent notes but no folder structure - have a view showing folders.
29 votesWe don't currently have this in roadmap. We have noted this feedback and will take this into consideration in future iterations of Notes.

@Mention Someone When Replying to an Annotation in a Box Note
iIt would be nice to be able to @mention someone in a Annotation within the Box Note. I know you can do it in the comments, but if a note is lengthy and you want to put someone's nose right to where you want them to look (or a tasks you've assigned them to), this would be nice to have.
-https://community.box.com/t5/Web-App-Forum/Mentions-in-Box-Notes-annotations/m-p/58648/highlight/false#M3342140 votesThanks for the feedback. Adding @mention to the body of the Note is something that we believe would improve the annotations experience in BoxNotes. Although we can’t prioritize this feature at the moment, we will consider this feature when planning our future roadmap.

Remove / Hide avatars when editing a box note
When editing a Box Note, there is an avatar with my initials that jumps around to wherever my cursor is. I find it very distracting and quite annoying. I can't think of any possible benefit to having this bouncing ball showing me that I'm editing the note. I kind of already know that. If others are editing the same note, it shows that, too. Maybe that's of some limited use, although I don't know what I'd do with that information, other than once again be distracted from what I'm trying to do. So anyway, it'd be great if there were…

Ability to zoom text, enlarge photos, and edit URL when using Box Notes on Box iOS app
Box Notes on iOS needs improvements, e.g. can't zoom in/out. Can't click embedded photos to enlarge them, such as you can in the desktop app or browser. If I could zoom in/out, that might be ok, but can't do that either links aren't viewable or editable on mobile; you can click them, but if you need to update a link or at least see the URL target, you can't. You can add annotation but you can't view it once it's saved or view annotations by others
2 votesThanks for the feedback. Unfortunately, we are not able to prioritize this request at the moment. However, please note that you should be able to view annotations made by yourself or others in the iOS environment. Please reach out if you’re still experiencing issues and we can look into this.
