Box notes client for Linux
Trying to migrate away from One Note to Box notes. Hence need a client that works with Linux. Specifically debian.
95 votesThank you for the feedback. Adding a Box Notes client for Linux it is not aligned with our prioritization for the year, but we will let you know if anything changes.

Enable Tasks in Box Notes
Client is a heavy user of Box Notes (for project plans, team meetings, checklists, lists and other). They'd like to be able to assign tasks related to those lists/activities/other from the Box Note to collabs.
69 votesThank you for the feedback. Adding Tasks to Box Notes is functionality that we are actively researching, but is not currently on the roadmap. Please continue to submit feedback and use cases, and we’ll update if and when this becomes a priority.

Add fixed-width font options
Ticket # INC4849532 - Customer wants to use Box Notes to write documents that contain code-snippets and excerpts from logs. They would like to use a fixed-width font for these snippets, but Box Notes doesn't allow them to select font and there's no style for fixed-width.
The issue is the same as the one described in this forum post: https://community.box.com/t5/Web-App-Forum/Boxnote-fixed-width-font/td-p/31194
56 votesThanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately, we are unable to prioritize this in our current roadmap, but will keep this in our radar.

Remove or filter out particular Box Notes from Inbox without deleting
The Box Notes Inbox contains a long list of items that are shared with me but that I may never access again. I can't remove my collaborations because they are stored within enterprise-owned folders that are shared with the entire company at a high level (e.g. all "Projects" are shared with the entire company in case we need to reference them, but I am not part of the project team for most of them). We would like a way to remove or filter certain Box Notes from the Inbox so it is less cluttered.
49 votesThank you for the feedback. Unfortunately, we are unable to prioritize this against our other priorities at this time.

Image Shared Link Permissions should Match the Box Note's Shared Link Permission
For example, when a Box Note's shared link is set to 'people with the link', all images in the Box Note should also automatically be updated to be 'people with the link' links.
The current issue is that when I set a Box Note's link to 'people with the link' but my company's shared link default is 'people in your company', all the embedded images in the Box Note are still set to 'people in your company', meaning if a non-authenticated user accesses the 'people with the link' Box Note link, they'll see 'insufficient privileges' for all the images in…
49 votesThank you for the feedback. We understand that the current permissions behavior for Box Notes images is not necessarily intuitive, and are actively looking into ways to improve that user experience. We don’t yet have a timeline for delivery, but will update here when its available.

@'ing box groups in comments
Is there a way to @mention a box user group in the comments section? We have executive team groups of 4-7 people that need tagged in the comments for notifications to approve and discussed projects, but when you are @'ing all 7 it looks a little messy as well as remembering all of those users. Since the email addresses are linked in the box group, would it be possible to @mention that unique group name in the comment and get the same result as @'ing a single user name?
I look forward to hearing your thoughts/feedback.38 votesThank you for your feedback! We believe this feature is important and can provide significant value to the Notes product experience. However, we cannot prioritize this feature in the near term. We will keep this under consideration for our future roadmap.

View folders in Box notes
Right now you see a large collection of recent notes but no folder structure - have a view showing folders.
33 votesWe don't currently have this in roadmap. We have noted this feedback and will take this into consideration in future iterations of Notes.

Create a hyperlink to a point within the same note
Box Notes are wonderful, but after a certain length, they can become unwieldy to navigate. Other services, including Dropbox, offer the ability to hyperlink to a headlines section (text marked as H1, H2) to create a functional contents segment.
Please could we have the ability to hyperlink within documents, at leas to text tagged as a header
27 votesWill be on the roadmap in the future
-
Insert calendar into Box Note
Auto generate calendar in Box notes similar to Dropbox Paper.
26 votesThis is a great feature suggestion, and we plan to add it to the roadmap in the longer term

Support Password-Protected Shared Links for Box Notes
There's a known issue/limitation currently (https://community.box.com/t5/Managing-Your-Content/Box-Notes-Notices-and-Known-Limitations/ta-p/340) where Box Notes do not work correctly when the shared link is password-protected.
REQUEST: Allow Box Notes to have password-protected shared links just like any other file on Box.
23 votesThis is not a priority for the team at this time. We will reconsider with additional customer demand.

Tables - Ability to Copy a Row and Paste into a Table in A Different Box Note
Requesting ability to copy a Box Note row and paste into another Box Note table (preserving formatting and links). Currently, you can paste into a new table this way, not an existing table in our testing.
Rationale: Ease of use, consistent ability to cut and paste
23 votesWe understand this use case, however it is not a current priority for the team. We will let you know if anything changes.
-

Tighter integration with Box Notes and Outlook
Box Notes should better integrate with Outlook similar to how OneNote does. From an Outlook event on your calendar, users can easily create a OneNote meeting note file, as well as assign tasks and include emails/contacts on the OneNote file as well.
