YES.... It is impossible to determine if a folder is a share or a personal folder within Box Drive. The web interface identifies this quickly by color, but Box Drive, does not.
To protect accidental data sharing, I've needed to train people to create/rename folders with names that have "(shared)" etc. in it so it is clear that others have access..

With Collaborator expiration, there is only the Global option for "External Collaborators" or "All". As you establish a new share with an internal Collaborator it could be VERY advantageous to set an expiration. Not all internal people are the same.
